Last week my eldest son was home for his holiday and of the nights, we went out for dinner together. This time, he chose the venue and drove us all the way to Bandar Baru Medan to eat at Fei Bo Snow Beer Cafe. Below were the dishes we ordered.
Kung Po Lai Liu Har
Deep Fried Mantis Prawns with dried chilies & onion.
Deep Fried Pork Rib with special sauce.
French Beans with deep fried dried shrimps & chopped preserved radish as toppings.
Crunchy Deep Fried Bitter Gourd with Salted Egg & batter.
None of us wanted rice, so we ordered 2 types of noodles.
Fat Noodle (Tai lok mee)
Fine noodle with Roast Pork.
Total cost (food only) - MYR 75 (approx. 18.34 USD).
My son ordered some Snow Beer for us. This is my first time tasting Snow Beer. This place is known for its Snow Beer.

We do not have snow covered mountains but we do have cloud covered mountains.
Honor doesn't go with fools any more than
snow with summertime or rain with harvest time!

I love your sky and cloud photos! The food looks very nice!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda. The dishes were very tasty!
DeleteA great choice. The food looked good and what a better way to enjoy good food with beer.
ReplyDeleteHeard of snow beer but never try it.
Thank you, Rose. My first try of snow beer and its great for a hot day or evening.
DeleteSnow beer sounds interesting. I would love to have a sip :)
ReplyDeleteNice chilled snow beer with those yummy dishes!
DeleteWow love that pork rib
ReplyDeleteThe pork rib very tender and delicious!
DeleteNancy snow beer sounds great we don t know it in Poland
ReplyDeleteThe beer are froze to a certain temperature and when the beer is poured into the frozen glass, the beer turns curdly or slurpee.
DeleteNancy snow beer sounds great we don t know it in Poland
ReplyDeleteThank you, Gosia. Have a wonderful day!
DeleteWHAT is snow beer? I have never heard of it. and we have dozens of breweries around here. It looks like beer with ice-cream in it? A very lovely birthday dinner!
ReplyDeleteThe beer is froze to a certain temperature and when the beer is poured into the frozen glass, the beer turns curdly or slurpee.
DeleteI looked up Snow Beer on the computer. I found that it is a brand. And it is the biggest selling beer in the world!!
ReplyDeleteHi, Ginny. This particular snow beer is not a brand's name. It is the temperature of the glass and the beer mixed together when the beer is poured into the glass that cause the curdly texture of the beer.
DeleteDelicious food very inviting food dear
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky
Hi, Baili. The food is very delicious!
DeleteDelicious food very inviting food dear
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky
Thank you, Baili. Have a beautiful day!
DeleteThe thick clouds covering the mountains is definitely a spectacular sight Nancy. It's Malaysia's version of Mt. Fuji:)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Annie. I like your "Malaysia's version of Mt. Fuji". Nice reference!
DeleteNancy, noooooo...you had me at Snow Beer! It's the only way I'll have beer if I'm going to drink any! ^.^
ReplyDeleteI think the snow beer is nice even though I seldom drink beer. Lol!
DeleteThe food looks good and suitable to go with your snow beers.
ReplyDeleteYes, we enjoy eating the food and sipping the chilled beer.
DeleteYour food looks yummy! I've never heard of snow beer, but it looks like a root beer float. Beer & icecream?! Just guessing here. What beautiful shots of your mountains, love the cloud-covered one :)
ReplyDeleteWendy
It is not beer & ice cream. Its just any beer, froze to a certain temperature and pour into frozen glass to cause the curdly texture of the beer.
DeleteHello Nancy, I have never heard of snow beer. The view of the mountains is lovely. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Eileen. It is just any almost frozen beer poured into frozen glasses to make a slurpee-like beer. Have a happy week!
DeleteWe'll know we're in trouble if we get snow! Dinner looks yummy.
ReplyDeleteHa ha its only snow beer, so we are not in trouble yet! Have a fantastic day!
DeleteHello Nancy!:) What a fine selection of dishes, I fancy the last pork dish, with a nice cold lager. I have never seen Snow beer here in Portugal, but I believe it is a mild lager-like beer.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Breathtaking. I think Asahi beer is a lager-like beer, froze to a certain temperature and poured into frozen glass to cause the slurpee-like beer.
DeleteSuch a lovely post! Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteHi Carol. I am in Malaysia. Thank you for visiting. I have been to KK once.
DeleteI was hoping you would comment what the snow beer taste like. Any difference? I think some of my neighbors in higher elevations in my state might wish cloud coverage over snow coverage!
