My Spider Plant (Chlorophytum Comosum) Is Blooming!

It was about a year ago that I did a post on my Spider Plants in my garden. If you are interested, you can click here to read the post. The post was written in May, 2016.
Recently, I noticed that one of the plants had flowered. I was watering the plants and immediately, I stopped and took our my smartphone camera to take some snapshots of the flowers.
The flowers are small and white in colour.
The flowers may be small but they are very pretty.
The close up photos are not very clear but on a closer look, it has 5 stamens with yellow tips.
The flower has 6 white petals.
This is the first time I got to see the flowers of my Spider Plants.
Now I need to find a suitable place to hang up my Spider Plant pot so that I get to enjoy the pretty flowers.
Sharing with you some of my Yellow Hibiscus flowers.
And some Roses from my garden.
What a joy to be greeted by these beautiful flowers in the morning!

Yes, there will be an abundance of flowers and singing and joy!
The deserts will become as green as the Lebanon mountains,
as lovely as Mount Carmel's pastures and Sharon's meadows;
for the Lord will display his glory there, the excellency of our God.

Sunday Late Lunch At Chang Jiang F&B Sdn. Bhd.

Lately, hubby and a friend have been busy with their new water features and their Guppy fishes. Last Sunday after church, we went to visit this friend to look at his new water feature arrangement. I will be sharing our water features in one of my future posts.

The afternoon was very hot and humid and we were invited into the air-conditioned house. During our conversation, someone suggested going for iced white coffee at Chang Jiang F&B Sdn. Bhd. This is our friends' first visit and my earlier visit was in March, 2016.
We reached at about 1.45 pm and the parking area was filled with cars. We almost couldn't get a place to park. Then we remembered that it was the first Sunday of a 2 weeks long school holiday.
We were given a waiting number and we have to wait at the waiting zone where tables, chairs and fans were provided.
Fortunately, we needn't have to wait long for a table for 6 people.
Inside the cafe (which was a former bungalow), the scene was so different from my first visit which was very quiet and peaceful. This time the placed was packed with holiday crowd. If you want to enjoy a quiet and peaceful meal, it is best to visit during the normal weekdays.
Below were our orders for a late Sunday lunch.
3 sets Traditional Wanton Noodle with chicken dumplings.
(2 dry version & 1 soup version), MYR 7.90 X 3 = MYR 23.70
All noodles are served with the same toppings of minced meat, crispy fried onions and blanched green veggie.
1 set Hometown (herbal chicken) Soup Noodle @ MYR 9.90
2 sets Signature Noodle, MYR 8.90 x 2 = MYR 17.80
This noodle is served with braised chicken foot, half a tofu and half a hard boiled egg.
3 white coffee (cold), MYR 4.50 x 3 = MYR 13.50
The coffee came separately in a small stainless steel mug
White coffee "C" kosong or unsweetened (cold), MYR 4.50
We also ordered another drink but no photo to show.
It was "Hallo Coco" (cold), MYR 5.20

I took these photos while we were waiting to be seated and some of these have been shared in earlier posts.

A big antique wok with 2 ladles for frying the coffee beans placed on some rubber woods. This wok and other items were on display in the compound. Before I could take more photos, our number was called and it was time to take our seats.

See how very much our heavenly Father loves us,
for he allows us to be called his children-think of it-and we really are!
But since most people don't know God,
naturally they don't understand that we are his children.

Sunday Breakfast At Restoran Yee Lock, Ipoh.

It was Sunday once again. Woke up early to sweep my porch area of the dried leaves and to water my plants. I opened my gate and as usual look for the sunrise. My smartphone camera was ever ready to take anything that is of interest to me.
As you can see, the street lights were still on.
As I watered my plants, I took some photos of my plants to share with you.
My Aglaonema Pink Lady
Plumbago blooms.
Yellow Frangipani or Hawaiian Yellow Plumeria.
Coming in from the garden, I went to take my bath and got ready for church. Before church, we needed to get some breakfast. Hubby missed his dry curry noodle, so we went to Restoran Yee Lock, at Jalan Raja Musa Aziz, Ipoh.
Hubby's breakfast - His usual dry curry noodle with chicken meat, bbq and roast pork.
I prefer the curry noodle - wet or soup version.
While waiting for the curry noodles to be served, I walked to the snacks or desserts counter.
I bought 2 pieces of sweet cakes or Nyonya kuih (both made from glutinous rice). The red one with bean paste filling and the white one with peanut filling. Hubby took half of the ang koo. After eating these glutinous kueh, I hope I won't feel sleepy in church.
We both ordered our usual unsweetened hot black coffee. Black coffee is great for keeping me awake after a heavy breakfast. The coffee got spilled onto the saucer on the way to our table. It was thick bitter coffee and we called it kopi-o kaw kaw.

All of us must die eventually.
Our lives are like water spilled out on the ground,
which cannot be gathered up again.
But God does not just sweep life away; instead, he devises ways
to bring us back when we have been separated from him.

Happy Weekend Greetings From Our Furry Friends.

One morning after breakfast, the four of us (2 couples) wanted to visit our friends. One of us called up to inform that we were on our way to visit them. They replied that they were home and were happy to receive us. The moment we walked through their gate, we heard barking from the 3 furry siblings. Sorry, I still can't remember their names.
This is a girl and she is very shy.
This is a boy. Initially he barked at us and after awhile he came near to sniff us and wanting to make friends.
The 2 brothers vying for attention from their owner.
And the sister too not wanting to be left out.
After some time big brother got bored with us but kept one of his ear opened.
Then he started to relax and his opened ear drooped.
Brother and sister listening to our conversation.
Top left - Big brother groomed for photo shoot.
Top right - Now he is groomed and ready for photo shoot.
Bottom left - He is listening to some modeling instruction.
Bottom right - "Okay! I am ready! How do you like my big smile!"

Dim Sum Breakfast & Dinner In Taman Pertama, Ipoh.

It was a Sunday morning. No walking exercise on Sundays but I still got up early to water my plants. The weather is very hot and I prefer to water my plants before the sun comes up.
Sunrise at 7.37 am.
A few snapshots before I got into the car.
Going for a dim sum breakfast at Restoran Zui Le Xuan Dim Sum in Taman Pertama with our younger son who was back for the weekend.
Some of the dim sum items we ordered. Missed out the deep fried items.
Glutinous rice (loh mai kai) topped with black mushroom, chicken, bbq pork and Chinese sausage.
After sending son to the train station in the afternoon, we went back home to enjoy a lazy afternoon. I managed to catch up on my blog hopping.
So what's for dinner?
We went to GP food court in Taman Pertama for dinner.
Hubby ordered fried rice from one of the stalls.
I saw a new stall and I walked over to check on the menu. I ordered this noodle topped with braised minced pork, half an egg and some green. It tasted quite good especially when they served the noodle with the sweet and savoury sambal sauce as shown below.
Here ends another day and God willing, we get to see another brand new day!
