My New Fish Project

All the Siamese fighting fishes I had were all gone. One day I visited the plant nursery and saw how they arranged the plants in the fish bowls containing the Siamese fighting fishes. I was interested to try out the same thing and I went home to start my fish project again. I took out my fish bowls again, arranged the plant cuttings and filled the fish bowls with water. Then I drove to the plant nursery to buy 3 Siamese fighting fishes. One of the 3 fishes committed suicide when it jumped out of its fish bowl onto the floor. By the time we found out it was a dried fish. I have 4 fish bowls, 2 were filled with a Siamese fighting fish each and the other 2 fish bowls were filled with guppies.
This is a punch bowl and is filled with 1 male and 2 female guppies. Now the bowl is filled with tiny guppy babies. When they have grown slightly bigger, the baby guppies were all transferred to hubby's bigger fish ponds.
This is home to a Siamese fighting fish.
This is home to another Siamese fighting fish.
The Siamese fighting fish on the right committed suicide when it jumped out of the bowl.
The fish bowl left vacant is now filled with 3 guppies.
This Siamese fighting fish is dark blue with some red.and blue fins.
 This one has more red.

The following pictures were taken during our visit in Cameron Highlands.
I don't know the name of these fishes.
Japanese Carps in a pond in one of the Strawberry Garden.
When they see us, they swam towards us expecting to be fed.
I managed to take a snapshot of this beautiful white Carp with orange sports.

So I advise you to buy gold from me -
gold that has been purified by fire.
Then you will be rich.
Also buy white garments from me
so you will not be shamed by your nakedness,
and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see.

For the past few weeks, we have not been regular in our early morning walk due to the drizzle or rain in the early morning.
One day we woke up early to a lovely dry morning. I quickly got ready and were dressed for our early morning walk. This snapshot was taken at 6.55 am in front of my house.

A welcome sign on the wall next to where we were seated.
Most of the morning customers were seated outside under the porch.
The menu is mostly in Mandarin.
We ordered a Kopi C and Kopi O, both unsweetened.
My bowl of Cod Fish Head Noodle, served without wine.
Next time, I must request for wine to be added for extra omph!

Papaya Pickles And Papaya Soup From Home Grown Papayas.

At present I have a papaya tree planted outside my front fence. Due to lack of ground space, I planted this papaya tree in a small space just next to the outside drain. It has grown tall and it is now as tall as the porch awning. At one point, I thought of chopping down the tree but it began to bear more new fruits before I could finish harvesting the remaining ones.
I prefer to wait till the fruits are ripe on the tree because they will taste sweeter. But the birds started to feast on the papaya before they are due for plucking. So I was forced to harvest the papayas earlier before they are ripe enough to eat.
One morning the thought of making papaya pickles came to mind.
So I plucked 2 half ripe papayas from the tree.
I used a little bit of salt to mix with the papaya slices. After about 5 minutes, I washed off the salt and drain off the water from the papaya slices.
Then I add sugar and apple cider vinegar to the papaya slices, mixed it thoroughly and kept it overnight in the refrigerator.
Next day, I separated them into small plastic tubs and distributed them to my neighbours and nearby friends. I kept back 2 small tubs for hubby and myself.
Sometimes, when I feel like drinking papaya soup, I will pluck 1 small sized papaya which is just beginning to show sign of a tinge of yellow on the green skin. To boil the soup, I cut the papaya in big pieces, and then I add red dates, goji berries, some dried cuttlefish, and rib bones. Sometimes, I will add carrot if it is available. It is a very delicious soup.
For that evening's dinner, I also harvested some white brinjals from my garden. I steamed the brinjals, peeled off the skin and topped with garlic oil, oyster sauce and soy sauce.
This was our homecooked dinner and the ingredients used were mostly home grown.
We shared a small portion of white rice.

The following fences are for joining Good Fences.
We passed by this place when we were in Teluk Intan.
Can you see the white metal fence with design.
I took these snapshots from inside a moving car.

Teluk Intan's Bak Kut Teh, Rojak & Chee Cheong Fun.

After the Leaning Tower tour, we got into our car and went looking for the restaurant selling bah kut teh (herbal pork rib soup), which is recommended by a friend.
Restoran Wang Kee Bah Kut Teh at Jalan Pasar, Teluk Intan. We were just in time, reaching the place just before closing time.
We ordered the smallest size Bah Kut Teh (Herbal Pork Rib Soup)
A plate of delicious savoury fish dish.
 Blanched green vegetable.
The 3 of us ate these without any rice.
The server found it hard to believe that we didn't want any rice!
 The Perak River.
I just noticed the thing on the right.
It looks like a bird flying pass while I took this snapshot.
Perak River
Rojak Ah Chai at Jalan Woo Saik Hong
We stopped at this Rojak Ah Chai's stall for coconut water to quench our thirst.
And we ended up ordering a small plate of mixed fruit salad or rojak to try.
I bought a tub of rojak sauce. Compared to Jelapang's version, this is too sour for us. We prefer the sweeter version.
We passed by some padi fields on our way home.
As for dinner, we had chee cheong fun bought from Teluk Intan which was still warm. This is the steamed rice flour noodle with yam bean and dried shrimp. We ate the noodle with pickled green chilies. The noodle doesn't look appetizing at all but it was quite good. It seems the one sold in the evening tastes much, much better. That will have to wait for the next trip.

Thank God for a wonderful day trip and safe journey home.

Dear brothers,

how can you claim that you belong to the Lord Jesus Christ,

the Lord of glory, if you show favoritism to rich people

and look down on poor people?
