Fried Fish, Salted Eggs & Plain Rice Porridge

This was another cool morning. We overslept and decided not to go for the morning walk. We were planning to drive out to town for breakfast but we received a call from our friend informing us that she had already bought us breakfast.

The above photo was taken on our walk out to the shop to enjoy the breakfast our friend bought for us. We had savoury glutinous rice with diced meat. No photos to show our breakfast.

Our friend bought a big Napa cabbage and she cut off a few leaves to give to us. Thus, saved me from buying vegetable for dinner. I had decided to cook Teochew rice porridge because I bought a big piece of Grouper fish.
Sauteed Napa cabbage with garlic and salt.
Fried Grouper fish slice with ginger strips and drizzled with soy sauce and oil.
Cooked 2 homemade salted duck eggs.
Simple dinner for 2 people.
I saw the above at a hotel and took a snapshot of the old vintage metal serving trays mounted on the door of the toilet in the lobby.
Purple bougainvillea from my garden.
Something must have eaten some of the petals.

Better a dry crust eaten in peace
than a house filled with feasting - and conflict.
(Proverbs 17:1, New Living Translation-NLT)

  2. Since you are eating salted eggs the napa cabbage dish no need to put salt. Eat less salt can prevent high blood pressure. Did u spot the culprit eating the petals?
