The leaves may die off indoors in the winter but keep it moist ad they will sprout again when warmer weather arrives and will sprout beautifully again in the summer with the little white and purple flowers which is very delicate and last only a day.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3801147313328848622.post-73308189233445475112020-06-08T20:09:22.963+08:002020-06-08T20:09:22.963+08:00You can check out any of the local wet markets nea...You can check out any of the local wet markets near you, especially any of the Malay stall.Nancy Chanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10790364807514237397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3801147313328848622.post-69948095018535930902020-06-07T18:08:28.842+08:002020-06-07T18:08:28.842+08:00Which local market? I would like to share you my late mom's recipe.
Blend some shallots or small big onion, garlic, ginger, Bean paste. pepper corns, Fresh kunyit / turmeric or kunyit powder, if use powder form, no need to blend.
Any meat you like -- eg chicken, pork, beef, duck or even mutton -- cut all into pieces
Add oil and fry the blended ingredients , kunyit powder / turmeric powder until aroma then add in the meat and fry well with some sugar, salt, thick soy sauce, thin soy sauce. When all are fried well, add in water and simmer. If use pressure cooker, can fry all inside and pressurize them , depends what meat and how tough the meat is. Better to not over cook it otherwise all will be too tender. It is very aroma, all my friends loved it so much and asked for the recipe.
Hope your husband and family love it too. Don't tell them it is the sand ginger until they loved it. Too many people refused to try new ingredients.
Happy cooking !
