FRIED FISH WITH SPECIAL SAUCE AT KAFE TUNG LO WAN, MENGLEMBU, IPOH

On this particular night I was not in the mood to cook at all, so we decided to eat out. I have passed by this shop many times thinking it was just a normal coffee shop until a friend recommended this place to me.
Kafe Tung Lo Wan is located at the end of Lintasan Kledang Timur 8, Bandar Baru Menglembu, Ipoh.
By the time we arrived, most of the tables were occupied. The service is good and we did not have to wait long for our order to be taken.
The helpful waitress recommended their signature dish to us since it is our first time. Fish in special sauce, which is very appetizing with its combination of slightly sweet, sourish and savoury taste. I will definitely come back for this dish.
Petai (stinky beans) dish is always our favourite, so we ordered this too. With these two lips smacking dishes, I almost succumbed to the temptation to order additional bowl of white rice.
And this simple tofu dish, simple yet tasty. We enjoyed our dinner and this place will be added to our eatery "like" list. Cost of our dinner = RM34.00

Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant,
is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness.
But solid food is for the mature,
who by constant use have trained themselves
to distinguish good from evil.

  1. Nice dinner indeed. All the dishes looks appetising & my favourites too. RM34.00 for those 3 dishes is a good deal.

  7. The fried fish looks very crispy and crunchy - those parts not touching the sauce. Did you all eat the talk and fins since so crunchy?
