A Grand Farewell Dim Sum Breakfast Treat In Hong Kong

Hong Kong, Day 5 - Dim Sum Breakfast.

On our last morning in Hong Kong, we didn't expect Pete to turn up. Surprisingly he was at the apartment door right on time. Since it was our last day in Hong Kong, he and his wife insisted on giving us a dim sum breakfast treat.

Our trip to Hong Kong has been very blessed. Right from the moment we set foot on Hong Kong until the time we boarded our flight back to Malaysia, we were very well taken care of, our tour schedule were well planned and we get to taste so many different varieties of delicious Hong Kong food. We just couldn't find the right words to express our gratitude and appreciation to all our Hong Kong friends who have made our trip a very memorable and blessed one.  

We were invited to breakfast at the Cheerful Sky Cuisine at Kwun Tung, Kowloon.

Indeed, a very pretty sight as we entered the restaurant.

Many tables were occupied and we were led to a bigger table for 8 people.

We were seated away from the morning crowd.

Our hosts, a loving couple pored over the illustrative menu.

To order, just choose and tick against the items on the order forms.

The following items were ordered by our lady host to be shared by 8 people.

 Porridge/Congee - dried vegetable with minced meat.

Steamed rice with braised chicken claw & pork rib with dipping sauce. 

Both items, steamed flour rolls (chee cheong fun in Cantonese)

(Right) Steamed flour rolls with with bbq meat.

 (Left) Steamed pork dumplings with fish roe (siew mai in Cantonese).
(Right) Steamed prawn dumplings (har kow in Cantonese).

 (Left) Pan Fried Steamed Taro Cake.
(Right) XO sauce.

Lotus leaf wrapped glutinous rice with savoury filling.

 (Left) BBQ Pork Baked Buns.

(Right) Pan fried thin vegetable pancake.

And finally, delicious delicacy - Baked egg tarts topped with a dollop of bird's nest.
