Hong Kong, Day 3 - Lunch in Macau.
Before we could do any more sightseeing, we had to fill our hungry tummies first. I had no idea where we were going but some in our group knew. We were going to have our lunch at Wong Chi Kei, the Congee Master and Noodle Expert.
Just look at the crowd waiting outside the shop.
Looking at the number, we had a long wait before our number was called. It was about 30-40 minutes when our number was flashed. We had to take 2 separate tables, one on the 1st floor and the other on the 2nd floor.
Hubby and I were with the 2nd group led by Pete and our table was on the 2nd floor. The place was really packed with customers. Pete helped us ordered the food.
Started with Chinese tea and a bowl of soup each. All the food shown below were shared by 5 people
A bowl of Shrimp Dumpling in Soup.
A bowl of Shrimp Dumpling with Noodle in Soup.
Braised Noodle with Shrimp's Eggs. I like this. It tasted very special.
A plate of Crispy Deep Fried Wantons.

Hi Julia. Sorry about the last dish. I am not too keen over it too. Have a beautiful day!
DeleteInteresting...some I would be willing to try...but that last dish I would hope not to even see it! But it is all in what one considers normal...
ReplyDeleteHi Rose, so sorry about the last dish. For most Asians, especially the Chinese, most of us know how to enjoy certain food which are yucks! to them. Anyway I do not fancy innards but some of my friends love it.
DeleteI loves dumpling, i can just eat the dumpling without eating the noodles, hehe...
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon, I too can eat dumplings without the noodles..lol!
DeleteThe food looked good. I want to try that pork chop.
ReplyDeleteHi Rose, then you should try the grilled pork chop buns...really good!
DeleteWa your food photo makes me drool....esp the intestine hehe
ReplyDeleteHa ha Elin, you still love the innards....
DeleteWhat a feast of glorious food. All I like. Yummy!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Irene. The food was really good!
DeleteWould love a taste of the dumpling soup. wondering if it same like what we have here
ReplyDeleteSomething like what we have here. Have a great week!
DeleteGoodness, the shop was so crowded! Good thing that you and friends managed to get a seat eventually. This queue numbering system is rather good. Everything looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteHi Phong Hong, the system is very good. And the service was good too, there was no long wait for food.
DeleteWondering how they get so much shrimp egg... the amount on your plate alone must have come from A LOT of prawns haha.
ReplyDeleteHi Stacy, that I really have no idea,,lol!
