One More Meal Before Saying Our Goodbyes To Hong Kong

Hong Kong, Day 5 - Lunch & gifts.

Upon returning to Ngau Tau Kok from our walking tour in Mong Kok, we needed to get something for lunch.
We have to walk quite a distance, and Pete was taking us through the shortest way. The eatery was already packed with customers but we managed to get a corner table enough for 5 people.
We ordered 2 sets of fine noodle with meat slices in sauce - dry version. We found this too dry for our liking.

Beef tendon noodle. The tendon were not soft enough.

Noodle with Pork Chop in sauce. No complain about this.

A bowl of big wantons.

Minced meat and prawn wrapped in wanton skin.

Wanted to have a taste of polo bun before we leave. Turned out to be a great disappointment.

Strong tea with milk.

This was a hurried meal because the place was really packed. After our lunch, we again walked back to our apartment to finish our packing. Later in the afternoon, another friend will send us to the airport.

Different varieties of Chinese tea as parting gifts from our hosts.

I also want to thank this lady friend from Hong Kong, who thoughtfully bought us each a portable fan. She had the battery fully charged, ready for our use the moment we arrived in Hong Kong.

At last, here ends my Hong Kong trip sharing.

Once again I, on behalf of our whole group say a big "Thank you" to our hosts and friends who make our stay in Hong Kong a very enjoyable, memorable and also a very food-filling one. And not to forget our friend who made this trip possible. Thank you and may God bless you all.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us in the heavenly realms,
with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
(Ephesians 1:3, New International Version-NIV)

    1. Hi Rose, Polo buns are soft fluffy bread topped with a crunchy and sugary crust. It is served with a generous slice of butter in the middle of the bun. I have tasted very good polo buns and I love these buns especially when it is warm.

Oh that fan...I saw it during sport day, someone bring that. I should have thought of bringing a hand held fan too.

    1. If I were to attend a sport day, I would bring along a man's handkerchief to wipe my sweat. I think the fan will come in useful now. No need to sweat like before!
