Yummy Dinner At Restoran Kristal Jade, Gopeng

One fine evening, hubby was in one of his relaxed mood and together with a friend we took a leisure drive all the way to Gopeng for dinner. He has heard from a friend about this new place in Gopeng called Restoran Kristal Jade.
It was a nice, cool evening but when we arrived at the restaurant, we can feel some fine drops of rain on and off.
The dinner crowd was already there ahead of us but we managed to
get a table for 3 people.
The menu on the board was written in Chinese.
The dishes we ordered for our dinner were as below -
A small clay pot 3-Cup Chicken.
This chicken dish was very flavourful and delicious.
Just this dish alone, I can finish my plate of white rice.
Our friend gave the "thumb-up" for the clay pot chicken dish.
Steamed Red Tilapia Fish with chopped preserved salted black beans, garlic,
chili padi, etc. Also very tasty!
"Ching Loong Choy" translated as Green Dragon Vegetable stir fried
with mung bean sprout and carrot strips.

For the above 3 dishes for 3 people, inclusive of Chinese tea and
3 plates of white rice, the total cost was RM60.40 (approx. 14.84 USD)
Restoran Kristal Jade,
302, Jalan Merdeka, Taman Gopeng Jaya, Gopeng, Perak.

It shone with the glory of God and sparkled like a precious stone
 - like jasper as clear as crystal.

  5. Just the chicken dish is enough for me too. Spread the gravy on the rice & can easily finish in a jiffy. I have never seen or tasted the green dragon veg. or maybe have but don't know the name. Price quite reasonable.

    1. Hi Irene, the green dragon veg. in itself is quite expensive. The overall price for the dinner is quite reasonable and the food is very tasty.

  7. The food looks good to me except maybe the fish but I bet it was tasty just the same. You know me by now. I like my fish filleted with no skins and head...I don't mind the bones though. I've been spoiled.
    Thanks for this.
    Hugs,
    JB

    1. Ha ha Julia, if we were to eat out we have no choice but to have the skin and head of fish on....unless we order the fish slices and that also they will leave the skin on.

  14. Seems like it's the vogue to mix dragon veg with taugeh... I wonder why? One is expensive and the other cheap (or maybe that's the whole idea, to average out the cost!).

    1. Hi Stacy, I too think it the whole idea to average out the cost and also to give volume to the dish. Just the dragon veg alone, the amount will be very little.
