Discovering More Of Ipoh

One day last week I was with a friend in her car, going to meet another friend. On the way, she mentioned that she have to make a detour to another part of Ipoh town to clear some document at the AirAsia ticketing office. The building is opposite the Restoran Pusing Public, located at a T-junction where Jalan Veerasamy meets Jalan Horley.

When she parked her car in front of the AirAsia office, there before us were some wall paintings. I told my friend to go ahead and settle whatever she needed to settle and that I want to take some pictures of the wall paintings.
A picture of a young woman on the right side.
A toddler on the left side.
Mother and child playing hide and seek.
Mother and child enjoying themselves.
It brough a smile to my face. Bonding is so important.
I missed the time when my boys were little toddlers.
Now they have both grown up. Time really flies.
I took a walk to the front of the building and found these pictures.
A woman carrying a child with a piece of cloth.
I have not learned to use this method with a cloth.
A smiling elderly woman.
Saw this figurine hanging on the wall. I think its made of metal strips.
Saw a very tall figurine, made with black metal strips down the steps, standing next to the fire hydrant.
Happy faces on the other side of the building.
Saw this behind the building.
I thought I had finished taking snapshots of all the pictures. I walked up the steps wanting to find my friend. On the wall at the landing I saw this superwoman picture.
Another picture facing the superwoman.
A picture of a woman, a sewing machine and the 3 small compartments are for holding rolls of thread.
Looking at all these picture, I am only guessing and I may guess wrongly. I think it has something to do with women acquiring skills to be able to help herself and family. The superwomen on the wall acts as an encouragement.

She sews for the poor and generously helps those in need.
She has no fear of winter for her household,

for she has made warm clothes for all of them.

She also upholsters with finest tapestry;

her own clothing is beautifully made

- a purple gown of pure linen.

(Proverbs 31:19-22, TLB)

  1. So many murals there. I like the one of the woman and the toddler but the woman with the sewing machine is a bit eerie
