Breakfast And Walkabout In Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands.

After our short visit to Lubok Timah Hot Spring, we continued our drive up to Cameron Highlands.
We were using the new road from Simpang Pulai instead of the old road from Tapah town.
Since we were using the new road, we will reach Kampung Raja first which is the highest point.
Our friend suggested that we go straight to Tanah Rata for a tea break. He wanted "roti telur" and "teh tarik". And then visit the places along the way as we drive uphill.
We passed the towns of Tringkap and Brinchang.
It was sunny but cool. The car air-con was off and the car windows wind down.
We were here at Restoran Sri Brinchang, Tanah Rata.
What should I order? Roti canai or Naan?
3 teh tarik (pulled tea with milk) and 1 tea with lime juice (without milk)
The one with extra foam has extra pull (tarik). Lol!
To find out what is teh tarik, you can click here to watch.
Roti Telur or Indian flat bread with egg, dhall curry for dipping.
Plain Roti Canai, mutton curry for dipping.
Roti Naan with garlic, mint and curries for dipping.
And my Roti Naan with cheese. mint and curries for dipping.
After we have eaten, we went for a walkabout in the nearby garden/park.
Passed by this mama to be. I stopped to take a snapshot of her soundly asleep.
Saw this nice clock tower, but the clocks were missing.
Couldn't resist these pretty yellow blooms.
Creative fence?
Children's playground.
Pine trees and bridge over river or big drain.
A family of picnickers.
White and black fence.
Another white fence.
Public Library.
Inside the library.
These I found outside the library.
Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah (Health District Office), Cameron Highlands.
Near the bus terminal.
Tanah Rata Bus Terminal.
Took this picture behind the bus terminal.
This and following pictures were taken near the car park by the main road.
Purple leaves
Purple bloom.
Maroon or blood red coloured rose and bud.

  3. Yes, as we drove higher, the air becomes cool & we don't need the air cond but instead wind down the windows to enjoy the fresh air. All the flowers are so beautiful. Am hungry now looking at the roti telur, canai, naan, etc. Did you notice hotel room has no air cond.? Blessed New Year to you & your loved ones.

  12. I'm not sure about the drinks but I would have ordered Tandoori and Naan bread. I've made both of these myself and I love it.

What a beautiful place to go visit. It looks so clean and inviting. I love that there a lot of English on the signs so I can read it.

Wishing you a Joyous and peaceful New Year.
