On Thursday morning, my friend came to pick me up from my house. Once a month, we go to Ipoh town to pay our bills and have breakfast together. After we have done what we needed to do, it was time to think of what's for breakfast. In the end, we decided to eat Hakka noodle as it was a long time we have not been to the one in old town.
On the way to our car after our breakfast, we passed by Concubine lane and saw that the place was busy with tourists. We decided to join in as local tourists for our first visit.
If you are coming from Jalan Bandar Timah or Kedai Kopi Kong Heng, this sign will greet you at the entrance of Concubine Lane.
But if you are coming from Jalan Bijeh Timah, which is the other end of Concubine Lane, this pretty sign will greet you.
There are still some buildings in need of repair.
A popular eatery for many years - Restoran Wong Koh Kee, 2nd shop on Concubine Lane. My favourite dish from here is the sambal watercress.
This building with spiral staircase is up for sale.
Hope the new owner will preserve the spiral staircase.

We would love to try these desserts but we were still full from our breakfast. These desserts will have to wait till we come with the rest of our gang.

We were curious because we have not tasted Ipoh white laksa.

They serve 'Second Mama Red Bean Ice'.
Again, this will also have to wait.
Plants can be seen going inside an abandoned house!

A young man selling sugar candy on a bicycle.
He used a mini hammer and a chisel to break the candy into smaller pieces.
His young customers were waiting for their sugar + sesame candy.
As little children, we loved these sugar candy.
Then Jesus called the children over to Him and

Now more food stuff there, huh... so long never been there.. yes, must try the goodies one day!
