To Change Or Not To Change To Automatic Gate

We are in the midst of the monsoon season and it rains heavily almost everyday. This is the time that we wished that our gate is an automatic gate. How nice and convenient it is to drive in and out without having to get out of the car and getting all wet to manually lock or unlock the gate. Or when we are going out or coming home in the night, I think it is also safer if we have an automatic gate.

An automatic gate has both advantages and disadvantages. Even though we have not decided yet, we do enjoy looking at some gate designs. Below are some snapshots of gates I have taken.
Gate #1
 Gate #2
Gate #3
Gate #4
Gate #5
 Gate #6
Gate #7
Fence #1
 Fence #2
Fence #3

Linking to Good Fences.

So He explained it to them.
"I am the Gate for the sheep," He said.
"All others who came before Me were thieves and robbers.
But the true sheep did not listen to them. Yes, I am the Gate.
Those who come in by the way of the Gate will be saved and
will go in and out and find green pastures.
The thief's purpose is to steal, kill and destroy.
My purpose is to give life in all its fullness.

  5. Oh there are some really nice gates indeed. It's so nice not to have to get our of your car to open a gate or the garage door. I'm glad I don't have to either.

Have a fabulous day Nancy. ☺

  7. Pretty! Automatic gates are definitely better than the manual kind. Especially if you have one that has to be opened and closed every time you drive through. You don't want to have to leave your car on the main road, open the gate, then get back in your car and drive through every time! But if you're on foot, I think automatic gates aren't that much of a convenience.

  8. So many gates to choose from. We don't have an automatic gate but we have an automatic garage door opener and I love it because I just press the button as I approach the house and the door opens up without having to get out. Great in snow storm or heavy rain.
    The gates are prettier though.

    Have a great day.
    Hugs,

  11. So many gates to choose from. I understand the need for staying dry. (I live where it rains a lot.) But I did not know it was unsafe there. I always thought Malaysia is one of the safest places. Have a great rest of your week, Nancy!

  19. Wow- lots of pretty gates.Gates 1,3 and 4 are my favorite, but I guess a lot depends on how your house looks. I think it would be nice to be able to open the gate automatically in the rain.

  21. Nancy, automatic gate is very convenient but they are also prone to malfunctions. You need to ask around for a reliable one and also must make sure you can get reliable service. I fully support your decision to get one!

  22. Your choice, see whether you prefer simple or those that look like fortress gates. :) Safety is an important aspect, I think. Don't want people to jump on you when opening the gate.
