It is time for the golden girls to meet up again for breakfast on Monday morning. Monday was a holiday, in replacement for the Thaipusam public holiday which happened to be on Sunday.
Our breakfast venue was the Restoran CY in Ipoh new town. None of us has been there before. It is a corner shop at 26-9, Jalan Theatre, Ipoh.
This place serves minced pork or pork slices noodles and soups.
This is my bowl of misua noodle (Chinese noodle made from wheat flour).
The ingredients are pork slices and bamboo fungus.
My friends ordered the minced pork with the noodle of their choice.
Cost per bowl = MYR 7 (approx. 1.64 USD)
We also ordered 4 pieces of Fried Dumplings (sui kow), no photo to show, lol!
Cost of Fried dumpling per piece = MYR 1.50 (approx. 0.35 USD)
The place is still new and clean.
No problem with parking because it was a public holiday morning.
Few shops from Restoran CY, we stopped to buy some Nyonya kuih (dessert).
Our friend loves Nyonya kueh and she bought some to try.
This place also sells "tong sui".
The kuih picture on the banner looks very tempting.

I prefer minced pork to pork slice...
ReplyDeleteI also like minced pork but minced pork is mixed with some fat. Need to cut down on fat, so have to choose pork slices. Lol!

ReplyDeleteHi Phong Hong, so far I know of only 2 places including the bamboo fungus in the soup for pork noodles. It is also sold in dried form in some big sundry shops.
