Dinner At Kan Nan Restoran, Ipoh.

Initially, this dinner was planned for 6 people about a week ago.  But by this evening, only 4 people were able to make it and we went ahead with our dinner plan. Below were the dishes we ordered.
A plate of Spicy Sambal Petai with Prawns.
MYR 12 (approx. 2.98 USD).
Pig Belly Slices with Salted Fish.
MYR 15 (approx. 3.72 USD).
Steamed Tilapia (L size) with pounded Betong ginger.
MYR 36 (approx. 8.93).

Blanched Glass Lettuce - a complimentary dish.
The total cost of dinner MYR 68 (approx. 16.86 USD)
 Kan Nan Restoran,

Jalan Bahru, Off Jalan Kampar, Ipoh.

I was seated facing the very busy kitchen.
When the weather is good, we do not mind sitting outside the shops' 5 foot way.

A church leader must not be a new believer,
because he might become proud,
and the devil would cause him to fall.
Also, people outside the church must speak well of him
so that he will not be disgraced
and fall into the devil's trap.

  4. The blanched glass lettuce looks so good! I do like herbs and spices but I don't like my food hot and too spicy. I love the orange chairs.

  20. Food portion is small no matter how many guests they may be. It will never be enough to share (that's why it's cheap). When you approach the Chinese boss (from mainland China) about the portion, he arrogantly rebutted the statement by saying portion is not small but quality portion.Typical Chinamen. Being local, I find it nothing great to shout about the taste. Perhaps crab is cheap I must agree. Many more places around the corner serves better food about the same price but perhaps the upkeeping of the restaurant may not be as tidy.

This place is also not a place to go without first ordering food as food can be served some 40mins later.Food serving is slower than 5 course dinner. Really a put off. RM1 per chicken may just be commercial gimmicks as it may not be whole chicken.

2 visits are more than enough for this restaurant. Not recommended
