Sunday Lunch & Dinner In Different Food Courts.

Once again we were here at L&L Food Court at Persiaran Bercham Selatan 20, Taman Bercham Jaya for our Sunday lunch. I wanted to try some of the food from the China cuisine stall.
All were written in Chinese. To order, I just pointed to the picture on the board and mentioned the table number. This noodle was something very different from our normal food. It was a very filling lunch for me, more than enough for 2 small eaters.
My friend order this deep fried vermicelli with gravy. It was a mistake because vermicelli quickly became soggy in the gravy.
Hubby's stir fried flat rice noodle with egg & 2 prawns. One prawn was hidden under the noodle.
Almost every Sunday we passed by this Gunung Lang Recreational Park. This is the first time I saw the artificial waterfall running from afar. Requested hubby to drive into the park to take a closer look.
The place was filled with people and cars. It was a long weekend with Labour's Day (1st of May) a public holiday.
It was a hot afternoon and I took this photo from inside my car. The photo is not clear because of the reflection on the front windscreen.

The lunch I took was very filling and for dinner I was not very hungry. We went to Taman Pertama GP food court and ordered something light to share.
Hubby wanted this appetizing Blanched chicken claws salad.
And a bowl of Seafood Tom Yam noodle.
Lots of seafood hidden in the bowl of Tom Yam noodle.
And 2 glasses of iced Ambra juice with sour plum to quench our thirst. This was our dinner for 2 people.
Deep Pink/Red Frangipani flowers from my garden. Received this plant from my brother-in-law.
Fragrant White Jasmine from my garden.
Pretty Parakeet Flower (Heliconia family) from my friend's garden.

The Lord is good and glad to teach
the proper path to all who go astray;
he will teach the ways that are right and
best to those who humbly turn to him.
And when we obey him, every path he guides us on
is fragrant with his loving-kindness and his truth.
(Psalm 25:8-10, TLB)

  3. It looks like a nice park to go to when not busy. I like the artificial waterfall - very relaxing and refreshing. You have so many different food outlets it must be good to eat such a variety of small dishes and even those that are filling can be shared. Beautiful flowers. I particularly love white jasmine and its fragrance.

    1. The park is quite deserted during normal weekdays and weekends, unless during public holidays and school holidays. Ipoh city has become a food haven for people from neighboring towns and states.

  8. All those flowers you have in your garden used to thrive in our garden in South Africa, sadly they do not grow well here and are all plants I miss. The food looks yummy. Diane

    1. Thank you, Diane. I gave up growing those plants that are sensitive to our hot weather and concentrate on those hardy ones.

  25. In wat dan hor ying yong, there is also deep fried mihun which is meant to be soaked in the gravy and eaten soggy so I guess the deep fried mihun that your friend ordered is meant to be eaten soggy too though I can't see the gravy in the photo.

  28. Interesting foods! I like vermicelli - too bad it got soggy. Photos are delightful. Nancy, one of my favorite soaps and creams is Frangipani. To smell it in a garden would be divine! There is a gift store in town that will mix Vi E cream base with a scent of your choice and that's what I get. Have to get back to that store, come to think of it! Have a great weekend.
