We were in town for breakfast and hubby parked his car in front of a shop. I was attracted to this green plant that was growing in the small piece of land just outside the shop.
The plant was about as tall as me. It has small and round green berries.
The leaves are big and broad.
And the small flowers are white and with yellow centre.
Chili plant bearing spicy hot chilies.
Anthurium flower at the plant nursery.
Saw these cute flowers at the plant nursery.
I do not know the name of this plant.
Cute flower buds.

Now, here is a lesson from a fig tree.
When its buds become tender and its leaves begin to sprout,
you know that spring has come.
And when you see these things happening that I've described,
you can be sure that my return is very near,
that I am right at the door.
(Mark 13:28-29, The Living Bible-TLB)
Interesting plants Nancy. I know only the red Anthurium :) I have no idea but the first resembles a bit potato or pumpkin flowers... Thanks for joininh in FW - have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Riitta for hosting. Have a great day too!
DeleteNancy, I am always attracted to plants that have berries. The flowers are pretty too. Is that chili from your garden?
ReplyDeleteYes Phong Hong, the chilies are from my garden. I didn't plant them. One of the birds did it. I just transferred it into a pot. Ha ha!
DeleteI always wish that i have green fingers, so that i can plant plants...
ReplyDeleteI am not good with chili plants. The chili plants that were germinated by birds are the ones that grow healthy and fruit abundantly.
DeleteThe flowers are so pretty. And the last one looks like my Sweet Sixteen Dresses. Red top and black.
ReplyDeleteThank you, dear. Your dresses are very pretty!
DeleteWhat unusual plants. We have quite a few varieties of chillies growing including some black ones that have purple flowers called fairy lights. :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, dear. I have not seen black chilies with purple flowers. Very interesting.

DeleteWhich one is the nightshade, the first plant? I love the last picture of the red buds inside what almost looks like little shells!
ReplyDeleteIts the 1st plant. I too like the little red buds. So cute!
DeleteChillies are the only thing we've had any luck growing on our balcony. Even though just as they were starting to bare fruit they got covered with a white film - so in the end no luck at all.
ReplyDeleteMany times we were unsuccessful in growing chilies plants but we are grateful to the birds.
DeleteHi Nancy,
ReplyDeleteIt is grey and sad now in our wintery Melbourne and it is really nice to enjoy all your pretty cheerful at my computer screen :)

DeleteNightshade sounds poisonous!
ReplyDeleteThe last flower, I thought it was the common one that grows 'anak'/offspring at first. But on closer look (especially at the buds) it's new to me.
Some said its poisonous and some said its edible. Don't know whether they meant the same plants. I wouldn't touch if I am not sure.
