Breakfast At Kedai Kopi First Harbour, Ipoh & Critters.

Hello friends, I am back again!

I miss you all and I know some of you miss me too! Last few weeks have been busy and I apologize for not mentioning that I will be away for a few days.

I have been on a short vacation up in the highland. Let me finish sorting out my photos before I share them with you in my coming posts. Today, I will share with you this breakfast and some critters, since today is Saturday's Critters day.

This breakfast was taken 2 days before our holiday. We woke up late on Monday morning and our regular coffee shop was full. So we ended up at Kedai Kopi First Harbour, Jalan Ng Weng Hup in First Garden or Taman Pertama, Ipoh.
This is hubby's breakfast. He likes chee cheong fun (CCF)
It is flat rice noodle rolls with yam bean filling. He added some fried fish paste, bean curd rolls, deep fried onion and some curry gravy over the noodle.
That morning, I had a craving for bread. Not the normal toast bread but garlic butter bread. I have tasted this bread and I like it very much.
Next, I also ordered a butter and kaya (egg & coconut milk jam).  I like the way they cut and arranged the bread in checkered design.
These go very well with piping hot black coffee.
Hubby started coughing and I bought this Ho Yan Hor herbal cooling tea for both of us. We don't want to get sick while on holidays.

Whenever he went - in villages and cities, and out on the farms
- they laid the sick in the market plazas and streets,
and begged him to let them at least touch the fringes of his clothes;
and as many as touched him were healed.
(Mark 6:56, The Living Bible-TLB)
One evening, this pretty butterfly came to visit us in our house.
Probably it was tired from flying and needed a chair to take a rest.
Then next morning it flew to my kitchen but the louvered windows were shut. It gave me an opportunity to take some snapshots.
This is the original colour of the butterfly.  I then opened the window and out it flew away.

I took these last 2 photos in a shop. I found them very cute and they were on the display shelf.
Linking to Saturday's Critters.

  8. Beautiful photos, Nancy! I love garlic bread and make my own sometimes! I use real garlic cloves, peeled and finely grated, then spread it on the bread with some softened butter, add a little cheese and broil it for a few minutes. It is delicious! :)
