Driving From Ipoh To Fraser's Hill, Pahang.

Going on a 3-days holiday in Fraser's Hill, Pahang.

On the 1st morning before we started our journey, I got up very early to water my plants. I made sure I watered them thoroughly, hoping the plants will not dried up and died while we were away.
About 8.00 am, with 3 couples travelling in one car, we drove to Ipoh Garden ready to enjoy a dim sum breakfast before we start our journey. Found the place closed and we went on to Weng Oon Kopitiam at Jalan Medan Ipoh 1E. We all ordered the same breakfast - beef noodles.
This is the first time I had my beef noodle in the dry version. Generous toppings of coriander or Chinese parsley and can you see the small dried scallops in my noodle?
And this was my bowl of well stewed tender beef soup.
After breakfast, we were on the road again.
Reached toll gate about 9.15 am, entering the North-South highway.
Travelling south to Kuala Kubu Bahru.
Exited the highway, passed Kuala Kubu Bahru.
It was a weekday, Very quiet, hardly any traffic.
We traveled in our friend's 7-seats car, very comfortable for 6 people.
Hubby was the driver and I got to sit up front, as usual busy with my camera.
 The weather was fine.
Kuala Kubu dam.
 On my left.
Not easy taking snapshots from a moving car.
Water level very low due to the dry spell.
 Driving uphill...
 Winding and narrow road.

But the Gateway to Life is small, and the road is narrow,
and only a few ever find it.
(Matthew 7:14, The Living Bible-TLB)
Our previous trip to Fraser's Hill was about 14 years ago.
We passed by some workers clearing fallen branches and trees.
 Almost there......
We have reached!
Selamat Datang Ke Bukit Fraser.
Welcome to Fraser's Hill.

  3. My favorite here is that gorgeous row of fancy palm trees! Yes, it is hard snapping while the car drives. If you snap out the side window, it blurs as it goes by. But using the front windshield there is usually spots and such.

  13. If u pass by Kuala Kubu Baru on your way down, there are 2 good places to eat. One's called Sun Sun Nam Cheong for Hainanese food (the Hainanese chicken chop is excellent) n d other is Ninety Eight Seafood Restaurant. I blogged about KKB back in Nov 2014.
