My close friend called up to ask us for help to repair her sewing maching. She was sewing her quilt when the thread broke, got stuck and jammed up her sewing machine. Hubby was not free, so last Saturday I went alone to see what I can do to help her with the sewing machine. I reached her house at about 1 o'clock in the afternoon.
When I walked through the gate, I saw these durians on the floor. Then I heard my friend calling out from inside the house, inviting me in to join the durian feast. Her hubby was opening some durians and I was told to enjoy the durian before taking a look at the sewing machine. It took me a short while to get the sewing maching working again.
Then it was time to go out to Gunung Rapat for the laksa lunch. My friend and I enjoyed the laksa very much. Chatted with another couple who were sharing our table and they told us they came to try the laksa after reading about it in the newspaper.
Added 4 pieces of stuffed tofu and stuffed beancurd for both of us.
Ordered 2 pieces of yam or taro fritters with chili sauce.
We also packed some laksa for my friend's hubby.
I was also treated to some chempedak fruit.
After the durian and chempedak treat, I left with a whole durian to take home. And this was a very delicious durian hubby and I have tasted. Thank you, my dear friend for the super yummy-licious durian!

That was a nice lunch. Would love to try the laksa. And oooh. Yam fritters for me. Luckily I had some prawns, yam and beancurd fritters the other day so I wouldn't be so craving about it after looking at yours. hahaha!

It was actually a very small problem and the sewing machine is now good to use.
