Sunday Lunch At Restoran Moon De Moon, Ipoh.

One Sunday morning, I woke up early and was greeted with a lovely sunrise when I walked out to the garden to water my plants before going to church.
After the church celebration service, we went to the fellowship hall for a cup of coffee/tea/milo and met up with 2 other couples.
Someone was asking where to go for lunch and another suggested going to the place that has the chicken chop rice. She couldn't remember the restaurant's name.
Initially, we didn't know which place she was referring to but later we found out that they meant Restoran Moon De Moon at Hala Wah Keong, in Taman Mirindi.
I have tasted the popular chicken soup noodle and the curry noodle so I wanted to try something new. I looked at the picture menu, made my choice and pointed at the picture. And this was my lunch - a mixture of bacon, cocktail sausages, hash browns, toasted bread, potato fries, fried egg, baked beans and coleslaw.
A Christian brother ordered this - Chicken Chop, sausages, toasted bread, coleslaw and potato fries.
The chicken chop came with a bowl of mushroom soup. My hubby and the others ordered fried noodles and no photos to show.
As we were driving home after lunch, we saw this car in front of us. It was flying so many flags, both the flags of Malaysia and flags of the state of Perak. This 31st August we will be celebrating National Day.
I have posted about this car with many flags in one of my earlier post.
Here are some sunset photos to share with you.
The sky changes colour within a few minutes.
I could ask the darkness to hide me and
the light around me to become night -
but even in darkness I cannot hide from you.
To you the night shines as bright as day.
Darkness and light are the same to you.
(Psalm 139:11-12, New Living Translation-NLT)
The following photos are for joining Today's Flowers.
Took these flowers shots during our holiday in Fraser's Hill.
Colourful leaves and tiny flowers of the Coleus.
Looks like the Day Lily Bright Sunset flowers.
Yellow Firecrackers Fern.
 White Pixie flowers.

  4. Your Coleus looks lovely...I always dream of growing them because they have a variety selection of colors, form and very easy to grow... but because it's an annual plant, not unless I bring them indoor during the winter, I find it troublesome LOL!! It's interesting you call 'fushia' a - Pixie flower - to me it's more like a balerina flower:) Wishing you a good day Nancy!

    1. At one time I had many types of Coleus in my garden but now only 1 remained. I googled and found the name Pixie which matched the flowers. Have a good day too, Annie!

  9. Your sky shots are beautiful! And these dishes really surprise me! They look just like American food! This is what we eat for breakfast and lunch! Are these typical Malaysian breakfasts? The car with the flags is awesome! I think I was not following you when you posted this. I have followed you from your first post, so this must have been posted during my one year break. It reminds me of the gypsy caravans, with colorful fabrics tied all around

  24. I used to think that kind of platter is so easy to make at home. Then tried it myself and found half the food gets cold before getting served. Stress haha.

The white pixie flowers... is also called cyclamen?

    1. Maybe you can put them on a warmer to keep them warm and when you serve all will be warm. I myself do not have a warmer. I think pixie and cyclamen are 2 different flowers.
