Joining The Crowd At Aeon Falim Opening Day.

On Thursday, 8th September, I joined my friend and her hubby for breakfast. After breakfast, my friend and I drove over to the Aeon Falim (shopping centre) on their opening day to have a look. We managed to park our car and it was no surprise to see the long line of people queuing up for the MYR50 voucher for the first 1,000 Aeon members.

No, we didn't join the queue because we weren't in a shopping mood. The voucher is only valid for any purchase of MYR200 and above (excluding GST) in a single receipt on the same day. My Aeon membership expired long ago so I took the opportunity to apply for a new membership card at MYR 24 for 3 years and I get to receive a pretty canvas bag, a Pearl magazine, a MYR10 discount voucher and a cash voucher of MYR15 from Sakae Sushi.
A new choo choo train.
A choo choo train with driver to take the kids for a ride.
I wonder if they allow adults on board.
After a walk through the departmental stores, we move on to other parts of the building. We passed by some interesting subjects for my camera.
Mascot for Sakae Sushi. Some kids were happy to be photographed with the mascot but some were scared of the mascot.
Can the person inside see where he/she is going?
Doraemon stage show from Sept. to Oct.

Games stalls available.
Doraemon pillows for the winners.
Doraemon soft toys for the winners.

Cute ducklings swimming in the tub.
We moved on to Aeon Big on the other side of the building where we have some shopping to do. We are more interested in the food department.

Linking to Saturday's Critters.

  12. What great fun! This looks like part shopping mall and part carnival! So this is like a club and you pay to shop? Do you get big savings? We belong to a shopping warehouse called Costco. You pay a small fee once a year and get all kinds of things at huge discounts. How DOES that mascot see? Maybe through his mouth?

    1. I think the carnival is to celebrate the opening day. May not be a permanent one. We pay to be a member and they have special member days and members get to enjoy great discounts.

  16. It's always nice when the mall is fresh and new. When Aeon in Bandar Utama re-opened after a major renovation, it looked so fresh and spacious but now it looks normal hah..hah....

  23. My kids would have loved this event. :)

On whether the mascot can see where he's going, the answer is YES. Coz if not, there will be another person to guide him along. Haha from my personal observation. (Yes, some mascots do have a guide!)

    1. There was a guide that was leading him and then the guide was standing apart from the mascot. The mascot was just standing there by itself trying to attracts the children standing around there.
