All the way from Ipoh to Slim River, the journey was smooth. It was a fine day with clear blue sky and there was not much traffic on the expressway.
It took us less than 1.5 hours to reach Slim River.
We had timed our journey to reach Slim River in time for our lunch. We looked forward to the clay pot fish.
We exited the north-south expressway at the Slim River toll gate and drove straight to Restoran Fook Seng which is a short distance away. And the following were what we had for our lunch before we continued on our journey to Fraser's Hill.
Steamed Pork Belly With Yam (Woo Tau Kau Yoke).
Tofu With Roasted Pork In Clay Pot.
Stir Fried Water Convolvulus With Sambal Belacan.
River Fish In Clay Pot (Pak Soh Koon)
Stir Fried Chinese Kale (Kai Lan) With Roasted Pork.
Stewed Duck With Ginger Slices.
I couldn't resist taking a snapshot of our friend enjoying the fish head.
And this was what was left behind in the clay pot after our lunch. That showed show delicious was the fish. Lol! Our lunch including rice and Chinese tea = MYR 142 with 6% GST

On the last day, the climax of the holidays,
Jesus shouted to the crowds, "If anyone is thirsty,
let him come to me and drink.
For the Scriptures declare that rivers of living water shall flow
from the inmost being of anyone who believes in me."
(John 7:37-38, The Living Bible-TLB)
