A week after returning from our holiday, we were invited to a home cooked dinner. After the dinner, we were told that there was dessert to be had and the dessert was brought out from the fridge. This dessert was specially brought back from up north. It was heart warming for this young gentleman to remember the two uncles from Ipoh and that was how this soft and fluffy cheesecake from Penang found its way onto the dining table that evening.
Uncle Tetsu Signature Cheesecake.
I should have taken a photo before it was cut. We just couldn't wait to try out the cheesecake, so do please excuse the crumbs.
This photo was taken to show our appreciation and thanks for the yummy cheesecake. The couple who brought back the cheesecake are not in the photo.
We also received a pair of cute piglets through special delivery.
Sending our heartfelt thanks to the giver of these cuties. These are so cute, I feel like pinching their little nose!
Oops! I messed up the cute piglets when I cut it. Just look at the colour of the salted egg yolk and lots of melon seeds. I love them both!
One late morning I was in town and was near to the shop selling these salted egg yolk lotus paste flaky biscuits. These are called "hum tan soh" in Cantonese.
There were not many customers queuing up at that moment so I went in to buy 2 of these. One for hubby and one for me! The price has been increased from RM 2.50 to RM 3 each. I bought these from Kedai Biskut Sin Eng Heong, No. 64, Jalan Mustapha Al-Bakry, Taman Jubilee, Ipoh.

I love this picture. The light from the sunrise seems to set these trees aglow!
Linking to Skywatch Friday.
Great bursts of light flashed forth from him
as from a glittering diamond or from a shining ruby,
and a rainbow glowing like an emerald encircled his throne.
