Pre CNY Lunch With Ex-Colleagues At Restoran Pusing Public, Ipoh.

Once again, it is time for us to join our ex-colleagues in their pre Chinese New Year gathering to celebrate another year of blessing in their career. Even though some of us have retired, we still keep in touch with those who are still working and we look forward to join in the yearly celebration.

Initially, the organizers couldn't decide on the venue but finally on the last evening before our gathering, the venue was confirmed. After going one big round, the choice was finally made and we were to gather at Restoran Pusing Public at Jalan Horley, Ipoh. It was fixed on a Friday for the convenience of our working friends because of the long lunch hours.

To save time, the first comer did the ordering of dishes.
Yu Sang or Prosperity Toss - small portion
A must have dish. It is only available once a year.
Everyone is to stand up to toss and mix the ingredients with a pair of chopsticks. The participants are to speak out blessings for the group. Everyone had fun tossing until some of the food went flying out of the plate. Then it was time to sit down to enjoy the Yu Sang mixture.
Next we had Steamed Ginger Chicken.
Followed by Fried Pork Rib coated with sticky sauce.
Steamed White Tofu topped with Fish Paste.
Kai Lan green with Yam or Taro.
 And Stir Fried Romaine Lettuce.
A group photo for sweet memories and for the album.
This is one of the many photos taken around the table.

He lifts the poor from the dust - Yes, from a pile of ashes -
And treats them as pinces sitting in the seats of honor.
For all the earth is the Lord's and he has set the world in order.

    1. In Chinese tradition, red is an auspicious colour and encouraged to wear for festive seasons and for celebration. And for our gathering, the organizer just suggested red as the theme colour, just for fun.
