Lunch At Likarli Restaurant, Then To Cameron Highlands.

We have been talking about making a trip to Cameron Highland with our friends (couple A) since last year. One of the reasons for delay was the monsoon season and another was choosing a date to suit my hubby's and friend's work schedules. Finally, we all were able to make the trip to Cameron Highland. It was to be a short 2 days 1 night stay in Cameron Highlands. We chose Friday and Saturday, the weekend just before the week long school holiday started.

Couple A will take care of the apartment and all four of us will travel in our car. Meanwhile another couple (couple B) also invited us to a trip to Cameron Highland. Since couples A & B also know each other and the apartment has 3 rooms, we opened the invitation for them to join us but our car can only take 4 people. Couple B then came up with a better suggestion. They provided a bigger car which can accommodate all 6 of us. That was a wonderful arrangement.
Our friend is a kindergarten teacher and we have to wait till she returned home from school before we started our journey to Cameron Highlands.
By the time we started from our friends' house and passed through Bandar Seri Botani, it was about 1.40 pm. We were looking forward to our lunch at Likarli Restaurant. in Bandar Cyber.
We passed through this newly cleared land, waiting for new development project.
At Restaurant Likarli, someone from the next table was celebrating her birthday.  Instead of using the normal candles, they used mini fireworks on the birthday cake. Below were the dishes we ordered for lunch for 6 people.
One of our favourite veggie - Fiddlehead fern stir fried with spicy prawn paste (sambal paku choy).
Steamed Red Tilapia fish with spicy sauce.
Pork belly with salted fish in clay pot. The pork belly was very tender and the dish not too salty. The best we have tasted.
Spinach or Green Amaranth stir fried with garlic. By the time I remembered, only half left on the plate. Total cost of lunch for 6 people - MYR 98.90 (inclusive of 6% GST, white rice and Chinese tea)
After lunch, from Bandar Cyber heading towards Simpang Pulai.
It was a nice cool day and we were travelling uphill with slight drizzle.
A newly completed 344 m long "Rock Shed" or half-tunnel to prevent rocks or soil from falling onto the road during landslides.
Passing through some roadside stalls set up by the local natives or Orang Asli.

Dear friend, you are doing a good work for God

in taking care of the travelling teachers and missionaries

who are passing through.
