Check In To Leisure Cove Hotel & Apartment, Penang.

The day before we start out journey to Penang, I rang up to confirm the direction to the Leisure Cove Hotel & Apartment in case we have problem with the Waze app. It is a 7 storey building and can't be seen from the main road because it is off Jalan Tanjung Bungah. At least I have a rough idea of its location and what to look out for,

Lobby
The organizing members of the church camp were already there to take care of the registration of participants. For security purposes, a key card was provided for each room to have access to the lifts and room.
Lift lobby
We were allocated a room in a fully air-con apartment on the 2nd floor. Every apartment has 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room with a television, fridge, kettle, microwave oven & kitchen basin just like in a hotel.
After having rested and a bath, we were ready for dinner. Dinning hall is on the ground floor.
Queuing up for food
After dinner, there was a time of ice-breakers to warm up and getting to know one another.
Participants are to stick on facial masks. Finding your own kind and gather as a group.

There were altogether 6 groups. Members of the monkey group.
After a few ice-breakers, we settled down to the 1st session by the guest speaker.

After the night session, most of us were tired and sleepy. We were not hungry so we opted for an early bedtime. Some went out to look for supper.

There are three things too wonderful for me to understand - no, four!
How an eagle glides through the sky.
How a serpent crawls upon a rock.
How a ship finds its way across the heaving ocean.
The growth of love between a man and a girl.

  4. Once everyone gets to know each other, it is fun. Hubby and myself telling each other, once kids grown up, we could join the church members and attending such event and camp.

    1. The church family camp includes everyone from the old to the young. While we have the adult session, there is a children's session going on at the same time.

  7. It's pretty amazing that in this day of Google Earth you can see exactly where you are going before you arrive there, even if it's on the other side of the earth.

  11. So what was this church event? This is a very fancy hotel! And here are my two favorite pictures. The funny one with the people in masks. And the gorgeous first shot of the dining room with the beautiful greenery outside the big window. Just a stunning and gorgeous view!
