Lunch At Restoran Floating Seafood Paradise, Penang.

This is a continuation of yesterday's post. You can click here if you are interested. We were travelling from Ipoh to Penang for our church's family camp. We stopped for lunch at Simpang Ampat, Penang. Our friends wanted to introduce us to this place because they have tasted the delicious food on their first visit.

I think an active golden horse is a good symbol for business (my guess). 

These steps lead us to the restaurant.

As we walked on the wooden floor, we could feel the gentle bobbing of the restaurant on the water.

Top left - Cockles. Top right - Tiger prawn.

Bottom left - Catfish. Bottom right - Grouper fish.

I was not at the table when the dishes were ordered. Time to get back to the table. I am looking forward to enjoy whatever delicious seafood dishes ordered for lunch. Lol!

Wow! The first dish to arrive - my favourite seafood is Crab!

2 big mud crab @ MYR 66 (approx. 15.49 USD).

The wood is for cracking the hard shell of the crab pincers if needed.

To eat these crabs, we have to use our hands. Its fingers licking good!

Steamed Lala clams with garlic, sour plum, chili, etc.

We enjoyed the food very much and we hope to return whenever possible.

When I went to wash my hands, I noticed some fishing boats on the other side of the fence.

I could smell the sea water. Not much activity going on at that time.

More fishing boats - couldn't get a clearer view because the gate was closed and branches were covering the view.

A feeling of appreciation came over me for these fishermen - without them, there will not be any seafood to enjoy.

 An old fashioned bedroom with all the old antique furnishings.

A wooden bed with 4 posts to hang the mosquito net to keep out the pesky mosquitoes. These wooden furniture from the old days were made of good quality wood.
