Saturday's Critters - Japanese Carps & Garden Snail.

The photos in today's post were taken on the same day as the ones of our furry friends which I have posted last Saturday. You can click here if you wish to see the cute furry friends. We were visiting our friends and before we entered their house, we went straight to their fish pond. The fish pond is just beside their house. The photos are not very clearly because it is not easy when the fishes are always on the move.
Japanese carps swimming in the sky. The sky, palm tree and window reflected on the water.
Feeding time for Japanese Carps, Goldfish and Guppies.
 Graceful Goldfishes
Beautiful and colourful markings on the Japanese Carps.
A pregnant carp going to lay eggs any time now.
Am I seeing a double vision?
Clouds and sky reflected on the water.

A colourful giant surrounded by tiny Guppies.
The Japanese Carp is a giant fish, compared to the tiny Guppies.
This brought to my mind a verse from the bible:

"What are we getting into? Our brothers who spied
out the land have frightened us with their report.
They say that the people of the land are tall and powerful,
and that the walls of their cities rise high into the sky!
They have even seen giants there - the descendants of the Anakim!"
(Deuteronomy 1:28, The Living Bible-TLB)
Thanks to the watchful eyes of our friend, we found this garden snail high up on the Plumbago plant.

  5. It is very expensive to rear these fish compared to guppies. It is amazing how the snail can climb up so high.

  18. I enjoy your fish photos. We used to have two fish tanks filled with fish years ago and loved sitting there watching them, it was relaxing and very enjoyable. Our cats loved watching them too and would hit the tank with their paws trying to get them. :)
