My New Betta Or Siamese Fighting Fish Pets

When hubby went out to get some additional guppies, I tagged along to see if I can find some nice Betta or Siamese fighting fishes to add to my collection. If you are interested, you can click here and here to read about my other fighting fishes.

I was glad I tagged along because I found 2 Betta fishes that I like very much.
Photo #1
The first one is a black and red colour Betta.
Its body is black and the fins are reddish orange.
Photo #2
I first placed it temporary in the small gold fish bowl.
Photo #3
Later, I transferred it to its new home which is a big Horlicks glass bottle.
Photo #4
I love its red fins and tail that look like a long flowing red dress.
Photo #5
The 2nd Betta that I bought is a blue Betta.
Photo #6
This Betta is different from the red and black Betta.
Photo #7
Its home is also a big Horlicks glass bottle.
Photo #8
It is not easy to take snapshots of these Betta fishes because they are always on the move.
Photo #9
Finally, I managed to capture it in its actual colour. It is like a bluish green or turquoise colour. Can you see the white lace-like edging to its fins and tail? Its petticoat is showing!
We saw these glass containers in the dining hall of a hotel.
We think these will make nice homes for my Betta fishes.

Linking to Saturday's Critters.

They worshiped together regularly at the Temple each day,
met in small groups in homes for Communion,
and share their meals with great joy and thankfulness, praising God.

  13. Your post produces a nostalgic feel because I have reared these fishes and guppies were our choice mostly due to their fewer prices. Same as yours we had the fighters separately in glass bottles… and have seen it hitting other fishes with fins. Sometimes we wontedly leave two fighters in a bottle to see how they fighting. Your pairs are gorgeous, reminding peacocks spreading feathers

  19. They are gorgeous!! The red one is a beautiful color! And the blue one has the most frilly and beautiful fins! Why is it that everyone puts them in very small containers? I see this everywhere. I know if any are together, they will FIGHT!

    1. Thank you, Ginny. If they don't fight then I would love to put them together in one big tank but they are fighters, so I have to place in in individual and smaller containers. I feel bad too. Have a happy new week!
