From the Charcoal Factory, we drove to Kuala Sepetang fishing town. There we were encouraged to go for a boat ride but we declined. During this 5 days public holidays plus the school holidays, this little fishing town became a busy town filled with mostly local visitors. I took some snapshots of fishing boats.

Shoppers looking for both fresh and dried seafood.

Just pick whatever dried seafood you want to buy.

Everything looks fresh and we bought a few packets of dried seafood e.g. dried shrimps & salted fish.

This time, we decided to try this restaurant with a big eagle on the roof!

For lunch, we had fragrant coconut water, oyster omelette and curry prawn bread. Everyone enjoyed the curry prawn bread and we finished the whole thing.
Photo #17
We also had steamed fish, deep fried cuttlefish and 1 green vegetable. Besides the curry prawn bread, the rest of the dishes were not up to our expectation and the fish was overcooked. The lunch costs RM 175.30 inclusive of rice and 6 % GST.

After lunch, we stopped at the ground floor stall to buy some prawn crackers to snack on the drive home. I found out from the seller that this old worn out motorcycle is still in use and in very good shape.

Driving through the town, we passed by this Voluntary Fire Association with its gate opened.

And now I want to urgently remind you, dear friends,
of the old rule God gave us right from the beginning,
that Christians should love one another.

I think it must be due to the crowd... next time go again on an off peak day!
ReplyDeleteActually, the restaurant not crowded with just a few tables occupied. The one we went to on our first trip was much better. But must give credit for their delicious curry prawn bread even though the others were not to our expectation.

AG
The sea has a special attraction to me too! Have a beautiful weekend!
DeleteThe dried seafood looks hygienic and neatly packed! Nice place to taste fresh sea food and you got wonderful photos on the fishing town… Simply loved the decorations and wall paintings on the restaurant.
ReplyDeleteWe bought a few items of dried seafood too because they are so fresh.
DeleteYour first picture is my favorite, it is lovely! The eagle is very cool! His wings form the rest of the roof! So do you get seasick, or cannot swim?
ReplyDeleteI took pictures of the boats. We didn't go on the boat tour as someone was afraid of water! That someone is not me, so no chance to get seasick. Lol!
DeleteI like photo #14 wall painting
ReplyDeleteI will like the curry prawn bread too, it is a pity that the fish was overcooked
DeleteI like painting #14 too.
DeleteYes, it totally spoiled the fish which is supposed to be fresh and sweet.
DeleteWow,wow,wow, See ya Nancy.
ReplyDeleteHi Paul, how are you keeping? Have a great weekend!
DeleteThe world is a small place, but sometimes I am reminded just how huge it is too. Look at all these people with all their places to go, and here I am on the other side of the world.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, so many beautiful places to tour and visit but they are so far away, at least for me!
DeleteThe fishing boats remind me my trip to Hong Kong..
