Dinner With Friends At Restoran Up & Up, Ipoh.

It was end of September, about a week before the Mooncake festival, we received a call from a friend inviting us to join them for dinner. We were asked whether it will be alright for us to drive over to Ipoh Garden East for dinner at Restoran Up & Up.

The last time we ate at this Restoran Up & Up in Ipoh Garden East was about two and  a half years ago and if you are interested to read the post, you can click here. This Up & Up restaurant is at 33, Jalan Medan Ipoh 10, Taman Ipoh Timur, Ipoh.
We were to meet at the restaurant at 6.30 pm.
We were to give a call before we start as we are further away than our friends. Our friends happened to reach first and dinner dishes were ordered so that we need not have to wait.
Fish Head Curry in a clay pot.
 Soft silky tofu with prawns.
Pig's trotter with black vinegar in a clay pot.
Both dishes in clay pots were very appetizing ones.
A complimentary bowl of soft, silky tofu fa with ginger syrup for each diner.
Dinner is not over yet......
Our friends brought along some moon cakes for us to try.
These were brought back from Taiwan.
We tried the ones with salted egg yolk and another with red bean paste.
It was a wonderful dinner with good fellowship and sweet desserts.
Thank you, friends for the dinner treat!

The Lord will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and
will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.

    1. Thank you, Diane! Tofu on its own is very bland and tasteless. Need to be accompanied with sauce and other ingredients.
