Lunch At Choy On Yoon Coffee Shop, Menglembu.

One afternoon together with some friends, we were in Menglembu looking for lunch. We happened to pass by a shop which is selling wonton noodles and I casually mentioned that I have heard a friend telling me the wonton noodle here is good. My friends who were with me in the car, proposed that we should try the wonton noodles. So we parked the car and went to try out the wonton noodles and other food sold there.
Wonton noodle with bbq pork (char siew). It is served with pickled green chili. If not enough, can always ask for extra helping.
A bowl of minced pork dumplings comes with the wonton noodle.
We found out that this shop also makes delicious sweet glutinous rice served with coconut jam (kaya). We like it because the soft glutinous rice was served warm.
We also ordered these steamed buns.
Steamed bun with curry chicken filling.
Vegetarian steamed bun (turnip, carrot, mushroom, etc filling).
My friend bought some steamed bun with coconut jam to take away for her children. According to her, her children love the coconut jam buns.
Wonton noodle stall in front of the shop. The woman is making mince pork dumpling.
Choy On Yoon Coffee Shop, 26, Pike Street, Menglembu.
