Enjoying Lunch & Dinner With Friends

It was on a Monday and I had some ironing to do. I usually don't take lunch but on this particular afternoon, I felt like going out for lunch. I whatsapped a friend to find out whether the place in Jelapang is opened for business but I didn't receive any reply. As I continued with the ironing, I changed my mind and thought of eating something else.

Later, the friend that I had earlier whatsapped, called me on the phone to invite me to join her in Jelapang. I informed her that I have changed my mind and wanted to eat something else but she persistently invited me to join her. It is not good to reject a sincere invitation and so, hubby and I drove to Jelapang to join our friend.
Hubby and I ordered porridge and two types of ready cooked dishes.
This is one of my favourite dish - eggplant cooked with minced pork.
Stewed sweet sour pig's trotter with white radish.
Our friend ordered this blanched chicken and insisted that we should try this. Initially, we thought we couldn't finish the dishes but as we chatted, we picked on the food till we finished everything. Good thing, the watery porridge was not very filling.
Our friend also personally ordered this cup of white coffee for us to try.
Thank you, friend for treating us lunch and coffee.
This is where we had our lunch - Restoran Choy Jie.
It is next to the wet market and near to the police station.
Saw this wall fence in front of the eatery.
Very unique wall fence made of colourful mosaic tiles.
Next time, hope to get a closer snapshot of the mosaic tiles.
A bright, cheery bloom from my own garden.
My Bauhinia kockiana plant is in full bloom.

That evening we had a dinner appointment with a young lady.
We had a delicious curry fish head and noodle dinner.
After dinner, this young lady friend treated us coffee at one of the MacDonald's outlet. I didn't know MacDonald serves nice coffee. I wouldn't mind coming back again to enjoy the coffee.

Linking to Good Fences.

In heaven a crown is waiting for me, which the Lord,
the righteous Judge, will give me on that great day of his return.
And not just to me but to all those whose lives show
that they are eagerly looking forward to his coming back again.

  7. MacDonald 's is the only place I go for my coffee. I use to go Tim Horton's but since the place was taken over by US people, the place has gone done, taste especially and the price has gone up. MacDonald 's coffee has changed and it's the best. I go with my cousins Dan & Tony and my Uncle Rocco every Thursday for lunch. Have a great day my friend.

  8. McDonalds Coffee is really good! While we do not usually eat there often, the coffee and breakfast menu is pretty great. Wonder if their menu is the same there as it is here?

  10. OH, that white bubbly coffee!! I have never seen it! What does it taste like and what are the ingredients? I would love to make it. Yes, the McDonalds here have what they call McCafes. And they are always making new ones. They even sell the packaged McDonalds coffee in the grocery stores. Your garden is awesome and gorgeous!

    1. Thank you, Ginny! The tall glass is the Latte Hazelnut. I can't remember the name for the shorter glass. I will enquire about the packaged coffee the next time I visit.

Oo that McD coffee has such pretty art. I've not had that one before. But yes, I have found the McCafe to be value for money for the items that I HAVE tried.
