Antique Treasures And Seafood Products At Tanjung Sepat, Kuala Langat.

After the dragon fruit farm, we stopped at the Tanjung Sepat (Cassava) Tapioca factory and then moved on to the Qingren Qiao Local Product Shop and antique treasures display. I will leave the Tapioca factory visit post for tomorrow.

When we alighted from the van, we were greeted with bright red Chinese New Year decorations. I got busy taking snapshots of the many antique treasures.
Bicycles with red umbrellas. Still in the Chinese New Year mood. We were there on the 12th day of Chinese New Year.
Ceramic wine jars tower.
A wishing well.
A big kuali with a wooden cover on a traditional firewood stove. A wooden pestle and mortar on the ground. Granite pestles and mortars in the background.

God is our refuge and strength,
a tested help in times of trouble.
And so we need not fear even if the world blows up
and the mountains crumble into the sea.

    1. I have seen or most of the antiques were in use when I was a small kid. We used to cook in that type of big kuali over a firewood stove.

  10. Hello Nancy!:) I so enjoy this kind of fair, and loved seeing all these treasures from the past. I like the Kuali with wooden top, which would still be useful today, and is also nice to look at. The golden bikes, the decorative ice shaver, and opium pipe, are all new to me. Interesting viewing,...and I love your last shot of the lovers bridge.:)

  11. Wow - so colorful and festive! Is there a special significance to the color red, or is it simply chosen for its bright beauty?
