After reaching home, there was so much to be done. Our holiday was over and we are back to our normal life. There was unpacking and putting our clothes into the washing machine to wash. Floor needed to be swept and mopped. And after all had been done and I have rested, I went to check out my garden.
I have left my garden in good hands and the plants were well watered. Thanks to our friends, my plants are both happy and healthy! Thank you, dear for volunteering to water my plants!
The Dancing Ladies in full bloom.
Another orchid - these pretty dainty flowers also in full bloom.
And this Pigeon orchid also blooming again
My one and only white brinjal turning yellow (maturing), waiting to harvest the seeds.
Another brinjal plant growing well and looking healthy. Waiting to see if it is a white or a purple brinjal plant because I have sowed both.
Came back just in time to harvest the last 3 cherry tomatoes from an old, dying plant.
The yellow hibiscus in full bloom.
So happy to see the flowers and all the new buds.

There was nothing in the fridge for home cooking, so we had dinner with friends at Restoran Makanan Laut Piew, Menglembu.
Double steamed herbal chicken - half a chicken for 4 people.
Fried black pomfret with sweet sour topping of salted veggie (ham choy), tofu, etc.
Stir fried sweet potato leaves with prawn paste (sambal belacan).
The day ended with this lovely sunset.
Linking with Floral Bliss.
And now, brothers, as I close this letter, let me say this one more thing:
Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right.
Think about things that are pure and lovely,
and dwell on the fine, good things in others.
Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about.
(Philippians 4:8, The Living Bible-TLB)

DeleteI were away for more than a week for Europe last year and some of my plants died off. Sigh. One thing about long holidays is someone to take care of plants (and pets).
ReplyDeleteGreat meal especially the double boiled chicken and fried fish.
That is the reason I no longer keep pet dogs. And lately, I have downsized my garden too. But it was great that my friend volunteered to water my plants!
DeleteIsn't amazing Nancy that after a wonderful cruise, we all have so much work to do. That's why I say lets go back on a longer cruise. This year it was an 11 day cruise and next January it will be a 10 day cruise and after that I have an another 11 day cruise planned. I want to go on an 14 day cruise if my wife allows it. See ya.
