Spicy Stuffed Fish For Dinner

I need to cook the fish that was in the freezer, the one I bought after our morning walking exercise. That means I had to cook that evening. Hubby is fussy when it comes to eating fish so I bought only 1 fish. I like this fish stuffed with spicy dried prawn paste (sambal belacan), and I haven't eaten this for a long time.
This was our home cooked dinner for 2 people.
I cut 2 slits along the back of the fish, one on each side of the bone. I stuff the slits and the stomach cavity with the spicy prawn paste which I had cooked earlier. I fried the fish with some oil over a medium fire. The extra spicy prawn paste was left behind the fish. Very nice to eat with white rice.
Steamed 2 types of Chinese sausage
1 stuffed with minced meat, the other stuffed with liver.
Sauteed Chinese chives or garlic chives with garlic - hubby's favourite.
Very simple, yet it was a satisfying dinner.

  23. What a beautiful time for a walk, to be able to see the sun rising before you!! I'm not a morning person, and some sunrises come right through my bedroom blinds to wake me up. I'm always happy to see the beauty of the sunrise, but not so happy to be awake early! Your photos are lovely.
    Thanks for sharing!
