A Visit To A Vegetable Farm On The Outskirts Of Gopeng.

My friend remembered that I like gardening, and so she arranged a visit to a vegetable garden. Arrangement was made to visit after lunch. The timing was just right. After having cendol ice dessert, we hopped into the car and drove to the farm.

We passed by these buffaloes on our way to the farm.

We were each given a big straw hats to shield us from the hot sun.

It is a big farm. 

A big calamansi plant with fruits.

They have just started a new nursery.

Coconut husk blocks used for seeds germination.

The blocks are soaked in water and drained.

The trays are then filled with the coconuts husk for seeds germination.

Each tray is then placed on this machine.

These tiny seeds are then placed on this steel tray.

The steel tray has tiny holes equally spaced out. Each seed then goes through the hole and dropped into the tray below that was filled with coconut husk.

We were taken around to see the farm.

The purple brinjals or eggplants are bearing fruit.

If not for the midday sun, we would have linger longer.

Next, we came upon these cucumber vines.

It is a joy to look at all these healthy plants.

We were told that these vines are beginning to bear fruits.

This lady parted the leaves to reveal a cucumber hiding behind the leaves.

Besides vegetables, they have started a roses nursery.
