Lunch With Golden Girls At The Market Place, Ipoh.

My Golden Girls have been waiting for me to return from Johor Bahru. Once I was home, I quickly called up my friends to confirm our lunch date. We all agreed to meet for lunch on a weekday to avoid the weekend crowd. Started the day by going out for breakfast with hubby.
I over slept the first morning after my return from Johor Bahru. I thought of my favourite Ban Mee noodles at Restoran Bandaraya, Kg. Simee.
I ordered the handmade noodles with soup and green spinach (Amaranth). Toppings: deep fried crispy anchovies, black mushroom and wood fungus strips and minced meat.
Ordered a cup of Kopi "C" kosong.
(Coffee with unsweetened milk and without sugar)

The Golden girls met at our usual meeting place and together we drove to Ipoh old town.
The Market Place Waffle Bar & Cafe

This was formerly an engineering and hardware store.
Here are the business hours on the glass door.
Can you see my reflection on the glass?

After exiting The Market Place, we stopped at Popcorn Time (3 shops away).

There are many varieties to choose from.
You can test taste the popcorn before you buy.

Dearly loved friends, don't always believe everything you hear
just because someone says it is a message from God:
test it first to see if it really is.
For there are many false teachers around,

  13. The chicken looks so good and crispy. And is that little heart shaped waffles? So cool!!! I love the large mural. I have never heard of a popcorn store, what a good idea! And it would not fill you up after a big meal.
