Early Morning Breakfast At Restoran Choi Yuen, Ipoh Garden.

Our friends love dim sum and almost everyday, they will be having dim sum for breakfast. One of their regular place is the Restoran Chooi Yue Dim Sum. One morning, hubby and I were finishing our morning walking exercise when hubby received a call from this couple. The wife of the couple call to inform us that they were waiting for us at "Chooi Yue". When my hubby relayed the message to me, without inquiring further, my mind straight away presumed that it was the "Chooi Yue" dim sum!

The place she meant was the coffee shop "Kedai Kopi Sin Choy Yuen" which is near to the recreational park! We used to joke about their daily affair with dim sum so much so that my mind will automatically connect them with dim sum when a similar name was mentioned. Today's post is one of our breakfast outings when we had dim sum breakfast with this couple.
Minced meat dumplings or gao zi dumplings with special ginger strips sourish dipping sauce.
2 egg tarts
2 crispy yam or taro puffs with mayonnaise sauce.
2 minced meat with century eggs bean curd rolls.
The minced meat with century eggs rolls are best eaten with mayonnaise and chili sauce.
Fried wontons with mayonnaise sauce.
These are steamed fish balls topped with sweet sourish sauce.
2 steamed BBQ meat buns
A very filling breakfast for 4 people.

The following pictures are for joining Saturday's Critters.
Thank you, Aislynn for sending and sharing the critters photos with me.
Crickets bought from the pet shop for feeding the injured bird my friend rescued from the stray cats.
A big grasshopper dropped by her garden for a visit.
Surprisingly, the grasshopper didn't mind her going near to snap its photos.
It must have eaten its fill of green leaves and stopped to take a rest from the hot sun.
Just look at the strong hind legs!
Linking to Saturday's Critters.

Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and
that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit.

Dim sum. I like all except the rolls with century eggs. I don't eat century egg so I not sure I would like that fried rolls or not. Hehe.

  10. It's amazing Nancy for when I read your blog with all the food that you show, they all seem to be the food for breakfast, lunch & dinner. It looks the same to me especially the breakfast. It's amazing because when I look into the Canadian breakfast, lunch & dinner, it appears to totally different, not here. I guess our two countries are just different. Have a great day my friend. See ya.

  20. What a filling breakfast! For some reason, i always feel sorry for the things that have to be eaten for others to survive. Guess that’s why i’m vegetarian.

  28. At first I thought those were cockroaches..

These shops with similar names are too confusing. I like a recent shop name my colleague took me to... Nasi Kambing Harimau Nangis. Now that would be a bit harder to mistake with another shop!
