We were looking forward to have our lunch at Barrack Cafe, which was recommended by a friend but it only opens at 2 pm on weekdays. We have more than 2 hours to wait, so someone suggested eating something light before we visit the flower gardens. We chose Uncle Chow Kopitiam.
We ordered 2 bowls of curry noodles to be shared by 4 people.
And 1 chicken pie for sharing because I wanted to taste their chicken pie.
First, I cut it into halves.
Then into quarters.

Then we visited a few flowers and cactus gardens.

We were at the Kea Farm when my friend accidentally saw the Kea Garden apartment which we were searching for on our previous visit.
We went to the Receptionist for some information.
They also have these mini budget chalets.
The entrance is decorated with colourful lanterns.
We have visited this place a few times and never knew that the Kea Garden apartment is just right behind the popular Kea Farm stalls.

The following pictures were taken at the Barrack Cafe, Tanah Rata.
"Orang Asli".
Before the arrival of the first visitor, the dense jungle-covered expanse of the Titiwangsa range was home to the indigenous aboriginal people known as the "Orang Asli'. Directly translated, this means "Original People". They are the native dwellers who know the rainforest like the back of their hand, living on nature's rich sustenance.

Blessed is the Lord, for he has shown me
that his never failing love protects me like the walls of a fort!

The curry noodles look so good! And gorgeous exotic flowers. My favorite is the purple and red bell flower. I have never seen one. Are there still Orang Asli living? I love all the pretty lanterns, they are so beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ginny! Yes, the Orang Asli is still living in the Cameron Highlands but away from the busy towns.
DeleteSuch a beautiful place. And the food looks yum! Always love curry and pie
ReplyDeleteThank you, dear! Have a beautiful day!
DeleteHow was the taste of the chicken pie? I would like to have that. The budget mini chalets look really mini
ReplyDeleteThe chicken pie quite tasty. Yes, very mini. Just enough for the double sized mattress to fill up the whole floor space. A TV screen and the sliding door, that is it.
DeleteThe plants and flowers are indeed beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Phong Hong. This visit we observed that there were not as many beautiful flowers as the previous visits. Might be due to higher temperature.
DeleteHummm aquele comer abriu-me o apetite.
ReplyDeleteGostei bastante de ver estas belas flores.
Um abraço e boa semana.

ReplyDeleteYes, I think they are like little camping huts for kids. Not suitable for seniors like me and company. Lol! But they do have normal rooms.
DeleteI love the lanterns Nancy. By the way my friend, it looks like my blog has been opened again for now. I hope it continues. See ya.

DeletePhotos of Camerons are always so nice.
ReplyDeleteI have stayed at the apartments behind Kea Farm before. Problem is it's quite harrowing slowly driving through the crowd. We ended up minimising going IN and OUT.
Not a good location.
