Beginning of this month we had a public holiday to celebrate the birthday of the Sultan of Perak state. Together with another couple we decided to make a short trip. My friends came to pick us up at about 8.30 am and we had breakfast in Gopeng, eating the popular Kopisan Lai Fun.
Then it was a leisure drive all the way to Teluk Intan. We stopped at the town centre. My friends went up to check out the leaning tower of Teluk Intan. I was here about one and a half month ago with another friend.
Shopping complex
I missed this painting of the leaning tower on my previous visit. I think I was too busy snapping photos of the leaning tower.
Teluk Intan is not a very busy town.
The food court opposite the leaning tower.
Map of Teluk Intan. The orange arrow shows the leaning tower.
Next we stopped to have chilling desserts at the Hawaii.
Then we took a drive around Teluk Intan.
We came to this river side. Saw a few men fishing at the end of this jetty.
Teluk Intan sits on the bank of the Perak river.
The muddy water is not a pretty sight.
This memorial is in the town centre.
From Teluk Intan, we drove on to Hutan Melintang.

Today, I am sharing with you my Purple Shamrock flowers.
Pretty sweet flowers and deep purple leaves to wish you a fabulous day.
When Mordecai left the king's presence,
he was wearing royal garments of blue and white,
a large crown of gold and a purple robe of fine linen.
And the city of Susa held a joyous celebration.
(Esther 8:15, New International Version-NIV)
It's really inspiring how you intentionally look for beauty in just about every place... the earth is the Lord's & everything therein!
