Teochew Porridge At Restoran Sin Hup Heng Chaozhou, Ipoh.

A friend had spoken of this restoran that serves Teochew porridge. One morning as we came out from the coffee shop where we had our breakfast of wonton noodles, I saw this restaurant and remembered what my friend had told me about the porridge. That afternoon we came back to the same area for the Teochew porridge. As usual we had to be early to avoid the lunch hour crowd.
Our lunch when we were here for the 1st time.
We had plain porridge, stewed cabbage, deep fried fish and salted pork belly.

I was seated next to the side door and I noticed this kumquat plant with fruits. I have a kumquat plant which is healthier than this one but no bearing any fruit at all.

Restoran Sin Hup Heng Chaozhou, 91, Jalan Theatre, Taman Jubilee.
Opens Monday to Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm.
We are having grey sky and cool weather these days.
It has been raining almost everyday.

I remember the glorious miracles you did in days of long ago.
I reach out for you. I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain.
(Psalm 143:5-6, The Living Bible-TLB)
