Dinner At Sabay Thai Food, Bercham

I woke up very early, looked at the clock on the wall and saw that it was 5 am. It was too early and too dark to go for our morning walk. I went back to bed and slept for another hour. The alarm woke me up at 6 am.
Sunrise at the park - 7:05 am.
The new spotlights lighting up certain parts of the park.
This park attracts residents and their furry friends from surrounding areas.
This one is a regular at the park.
This dog accompanies his master to the park and he doesn't gets into fight with other dogs. He is a loner.

That evening we had dinner with friends.
The venue was Sabay Thai Food Restaurant in Bercham.
Someone wanted noodle, so a tom yam noodle was ordered.
Egg omelette with Thai veggie
Sambal petai (stinky beans) with minced pork.
Mango salad with deep fried anchovies (Mango kerabu).
Thai style steamed fish.
I love the sweet, salty, sour, and spicy taste of Thai food.

until you become better Christians and

Stewed Ginger Duck And Home Grown Vegetables

The following sunrise photos were taken at the park during my morning walk. It revealed that it was going to be another hot and sunny day.
Sunrise at 7:35 am

Harvests from my garden.
5 long beans, lady finger and purple eggplant (brinjal).
I dug out a pot of ginger rhizomes.
I bought a frozen duck from a nearby supermarket to cook with these ginger.
I took a third of the amount of ginger. They were washed, skinned, sliced, and stir fried with cooking oil plus some sesame oil in my stainless steel wok (frying pan).
I added in the salted black beans, preserved bean paste (taucu), and chopped garlic. I also added in a bit of nam yue or fermented bean curd.
Then I added in the chopped pieces from half a duck and stir fried.
Next, I added water to fully cover the pieces of duck. I covered the wok and let it simmer over med to low flame until the duck meat is soften.
Stewed ginger duck. A great dish to be eaten with rice.
I blanched the long beans, lady finger and eggplant.
Served this with garlic oil and light soya sauce.
It was a very tasty and appetizing dinner.

The good people taste your goodness,
The whole people taste your health,
The true people taste your truth,
The bad ones can't figure you out.
You take the side of the down-and-out,
But the stuck-up you take down a peg.

Herbal Pork Noodle And Sambal Prawn Stinky Beans

One morning after having rained the previous evening, we could once again feel the cool breeze blowing as we did our morning walking exercise at the park.
Morning sky at 6:50 am.
Grey sky at 7:50 am
Delicious herbal pork noodles for breakfast.
We ordered the herbal pork noodles from this new stall at Restoran Kee Tuck Seak, Taman Pertama.
From my garden: Red Ixora flowers and Caladium leaves.
Caladium leaves are also known as Elephant Ears, Angel Wings or Heart of Jesus.
That morning's harvest from my garden.
And together with the previous day's harvest, I used them to cook an appetizing dish for dinner.
Sambal petai with prawns
(stinky beans, prawns, and veggie from my garden).
Just this dish alone is enough hubby and I to eat with white rice.

Shall I look to the mountain gods for help?
No! My help is from Jehovah who made the mountains!
And the heavens too! He will never let me stumble, slip, or fall.
For he is always watching, never sleeping.

Having Our Favourite Fish Head Curry For Dinner Again

Time seems to fly by real fast. It is Wednesday again! At this moment, it looks like it is going to rain but we will have to wait and see if it does. The current temperature is 32 deg. C at 1:37 pm.
Sunrise at 6:50 am
Morning greetings from a multi-coloured Japanese rose.
While hubby slowed down at the roundabout, I quickly took a snapshot of The Majestic condo. The older buildings in front really need to have a face lift.

When I looked at the following food photos, I can't help but crave for the delicious fish head curry at Restoran Mun Ji in Menglembu.
This dish alone is enough for us to enjoy a satisfying dinner.
Blanched green vegetable.
Stewed savoury pork leg in clay pork.
With these type of appetizing dishes, it is not surprising that we (4 people) were tempted to ask for addition rice which we didn't.

Happy is the man who doesn't give in and do wrong when he is tempted,
for afterwards he will get as his reward the crown of life
that God has promised those who love him.

Steamed Chicken & Steamed Home Grown Eggplant (Brinjals)

It rained yesterday evening and we were able to sleep without switching on the air-con in our room. Today is another hot day at 33 deg C.
The morning started with this lovely sunrise at 7:25 am at the park.
Harvest from my garden - red and green okras (lady fingers).
Just nice for that evening's dinner.
Steamed home grown eggplant (brinjals) and okras (lady fingers).
Served with garlic oil and oyster sauce.
Steamed 2 chicken legs with ginger strips, red dates, goji berries, salt & Chinese cooking wine. The above dishes were served with steamed basmati rice for dinner.

A devout life does bring wealth,
but it's the rich simplicity of being yourself before God.
Since we entered the world penniless and will leave it penniless,
if we have bread on the table and shoes on our feet, that's enough.
