Sky Mirror In Bagan Datuk, Perak

Once on board the boat, we were told to put on the life jacket as a safety precaution. Most of us were excited and didn't know what to expect except that we were going to a place called "Sky Mirror" to take some reflection photos. The boat ride was fast and a short one.
The boat then slowed down and looked like we have reached.
We were surrounded by water.
At a distance, we could see 2 people in less than knee deep water.
We were curious to know what they were doing.
When the boat stopped, we got down from the boat into the shallow water.
Our group photographer.
Besides our group, there were 2 other groups on this stretch of sand bar.
To satisfy our curiosity, we walked closer to take a look.
As you can see, it was low tide.
He was collecting some kind of clams.
Thick shell clams. One of my favourite clams.
I usually used these for soups.
Some of us also wanted to search for clams.
We were provided with stainless steel claws just like the one the lady was holding (circled in red).
Someone was so engrossed with his search for clams. We only found a handful of clams.
Before we could start the reflection photos, some special ground work had to be done.
Meanwhile, we have our own photography session.
The colourful umbrellas were provided by the boatmen.
A group photo to start off the reflection photography session.
We took turns to have our photos taken with all kinds of poses.
Here are some of our poses.
Me and my ex-colleague and long time friend.
Come, let us take off together!

While the others continued with the photo session, I busied myself with my camera.
During the low tide, there were lots of tiny crabs all over the sand. When we went near, they quickly disappeared into the sand.
Managed to take some snap shots of this crab before it went into the sand.
I picked up this sea shell and found that it was not empty. Through the holes in the shell, I could see that it has a tenant, so I let it be.
Someone managed to pick up a tiny crab and held it up for me.
A close up of the tiny crab. Looks cute with its 2 little eyes. What a relief it must be for this little crab when it was put back into the water. The photo session took approximate a hour plus, after that, we signalled to the boatman to come pick us up. We were looking forward to a scrumptious lunch!

In heaven a crown is waiting for me, which the Lord,
the righteous Judge, will give me on that great day of his return.
And not just to me but to all those whose lives show that
they are eagerly looking forward to his coming back again.

  10. This is SO cool!! Perfect reflections!! My favorite reflection picture is the last one in the group, where you are flying away. Does the water stay this clear all the time? I would have loved to go!! The crabs are adorable. I do not eat crabs or shrimp. Because I will not eat anything that has eyeballs on stalks!
