Chinese Rojak Snack At A Roadside Stall, Bercham

One afternoon, my friends and I had an enjoyable afternoon snack a roadside stall in Bercham. This roadside stall is selling Chinese rojak (salad Chinese style) in front of No. 947, Lorong Bercham 1,  Kampung Bercham, Bercham.

The first time I came to know about this popular Chinese rojak was from a friend who stayed in Bercham. Customers queue in line for this delicious rojak. The stall opens for business at about 2.30 pm to 3.00 pm. It so happened that both times we were there, there was no long queue.
We had just eaten our lunch and just want something to munch on. Someone suggested rojak and that was how we came to this place.
Chinese rojak is a mixture of assorted fruits such as yam bean, cucumber, green mangoes, pineapples, guava, water spinach, prawn crackers and etc. It is mixed with a thick sweet black sauce and chili paste  and topped with ground peanuts.
This is one of our favourite snacks.
When I was young, I used to lick clean all the remaining sauce from the plate which I don't do now.
One of the hazy mornings at 7:20 am.
During one of my early morning walks, I passed by these 2 dogs. Both were seated at the edge of the walking path and both were facing the same direction. Something interesting must have captured their attention.

Linking to Saturday's Critters.

I close my letter with these last words: Be happy. Grow in Christ.
Pay attention to what I have said. Live in harmony and peace.
And may the God of love and peace be with you.
(2 Corinthians 13:11, The Living Bible-TLB)

    1. Thank you, Mimi. The were probably looking at their owner cleaning up an altar placed under a tree.

  16. I'm glad that you were able to get your snack without too much waiting. It sounds delicious. I would like to know more about why you have hazy mornings. Is it due to mist or fog? Have a good week ahead.

    1. Thank you, dear. The sky is clearer these days due to the rain. The haze will only stop if the burning stops in our neighbour country. Every year the farmers there take the easy way to clear the area by burning and every year the neighbouring countries have to suffer the haze. Hope something can be done to stop the burning in future.
