Sharing Our Home Cooked Lunch With Our Guest

Before the Chinese New Year, my friend and I needed to do some shopping. Since this friend of mine is not an early riser like me, I invited her over for lunch before we go for our shopping. I cooked a simple lunch and my friend contributed the fried chicken.
Spicy prawn paste prawns, stinky beans and home grown long beans.
My friend contributed these fried chicken she bought near her house.
I boiled some mixed grain rice for hubby and friend.
I also cooked a soup using Sichuan salted vegetable, tomatoes, carrots, and pork ribs.

One morning while watering my plants, I saw this green grasshopper/locust resting on a wilted yellow hibiscus.

It didn't fly away even when I was standing quite close to it. I managed to take a few snapshots of it.

God sits above the circle of the earth.
The people below seem like grasshoppers to him!
He spreads out the heavens like a curtain and makes his tent from them.

    1. Looks like it has been chomping on the hibiscus leaves, leaves holes in the leaves.

    1. This multi-grains rice is less starchy than normal white rice. There are 5 grains to 18 grains rice for you to choose.
