Fish Curry In Claypot At Restoran Mun Ji, Menglembu

For the past few days I wasn't sleeping well because of a numbing pain of one of my tooth. I thought it was due to an over sensitive tooth. This morning the pain was bad and finally went to the dentist to have it extracted. I am now back home resting and the numbness caused by the injection is slowly going off. Meanwhile I am now writing this post. This is one of our Friday's dinner outings with friends.
Lovely sunrise with a tinge of pink.
Harvest from my garden. Some long okras, red okras, 1 bitter gourd and a few long beans. Not much as most of the plants are past their fruiting time.

Our dinner at Restoran Mun Ji in Menglembu.
As usual, we ordered fish curry in claypot.
This is a must whenever we dine here.
Chinese spinach (yeen choy) with 3 types of eggs.
(chicken egg, salted egg and century egg)
Dong Po Yoke or (Braised Pork Belly)
The braised pork belly is served with fried mantou (plain bun).
Four fried buns for 4 people.
The buns are for dipping into the braised pork belly gravy.
Pink balsam flowers outside the restaurant.
I have been wanting to take a shot of my own shadow.
I finally remember to take one on one of my morning walk.

How precious is your constant love, O God!
All humanity takes refuge in the shadow of your wings.
(Psalm 36:7, The Living Bible-TLB)

    1. The dentist tried to save my tooth. After having filled the tooth, it was alright for 2 days but on the 3rd day I was having very bad pain. I have no choice but to have it extracted.

  3. The belly pork looks delicious, but I am not allowed to have anything pork related due to an inflamed gallbladder. I hope when it is eventually removed that I will once again be able to have the food I enjoy!
    That is a lovely sunrise.

    1. I didn't know that pork can affect an inflamed gall bladder. I had my gall bladder removed many years ago.

  9. Ya, sometimes tooth pain can be unbearable but it would be okay once extracted. My favourite would be the dong po yoke with mantou, slurps!
