Blanched Squids & Fried Chicken Fillets For Dinner

Yesterday was 42nd day MCO. These days I have to check with my smart phone for the correct day and date. Spending all day at home taking things easy makes me lost track of the day and the date.
 The rain and the gray sky make me lazy and sleepy.
~~~~~
Yesterday early in the morning, received a call from a friend telling hubby to collect breakfast from her stall after 8:00 am. Under current MCO ruling, all stalls are only allowed to open at 8:00 am. Hubby also brought back a packet of fresh raw squids.
 2 pieces of soft buns
 A packet of nasi lemak with prawn sambal and 2 squid balls.
 2 pieces of Chinese doughnuts.
 Simple breakfast for 2 people.
~~~~~
Dinner
 Hubby helped to fry the chicken fillet while I cleaned and blanched the fresh squids given by our friend. I drizzled some garlic oil and a mixture of oyster and soy sauce over the blanched squids before serving.
I also blanched green veggie (choy fah), drizzled with garlic oil, oyster and soy sauce.
 Cooked 2 pieces of dried Cintan noodles, drizzled with garlic oil, oyster and soy sauce.
 I packed a bit of each item (above) minus the sardine dish for hubby to deliver to our friend for her dinner before she closes her stall for the day.
 Dinner for 2 people.
Later in the evening when I went to lock the gate, my neighbour handed the above papayas to me. Thank God for blessings received through friend and neighbour.

 It is the Lord's blessing that brings wealth,
and no hard work can add to it.

Home Grown Chives Fritters With Peanut Sauce

Yesterday was 42nd day under MCO. It was still drizzling when I woke up in the morning.
I went out to look for sunrise at 7:22 am.
Bauhiana Kockiana blooms.
Pink Showers or Pink Mexican Petunia Ruellia
Red Okra plants.
Round Dark Purple Eggplant
~~~~~
Simple breakfast for 2 people
Coffee, 2 half-boiled eggs, wholemeal bread with kaya and strawberry jam.
~~~~~
Lunch
Vegetable fritters using home grown chives and dried prawns.
Dipping sauce: peanut sauce and chili sauce.
I used the peanut mixture from this packet.
My neighbour bought honey melon and gave half to us.
Everyone who passes by couldn't help but notice these beautiful blooms.

O LORD, what are human beings that you should notice them,
mere mortals that you should think about them?
For they are like a breath of air; their days are like passing shadow.

Chicken Curry Noodle, Fried Chicken Drumsticks, Watercress Soup & Steamed Eggs

Yesterday was 41st day MCO. During this rainy season, there was no spectacular sunrise to catch.
Morning sky at 7:04 am.
Sunrise at 7:07 am.
Sunrise at 7:10 am.
I wanted to catch the birds flying in V-shape but only managed to get this image.
Sunrise at 7:15 am.
Sunrise at 7:26 am.
After this snapshot, I went into my house to prepare breakfast.
Noodle with chicken potato curry.
I reheated a portion of previously cooked chicken curry. I blanched some home grown veggie (baby pak choy), cut some home grown limes and cooked dried Cintan noodle to make breakfast.
Delicious breakfast for 2 people.
~~~~~
This is the first time I made a trip to the nearest wet market since MCO started. I decided to go a bit late to avoid the long queue to buy 2 free range chickens.
I bought 2 taros (yams) and a papaya from the wet market. I bought the potatoes and lotus root from the local mini market.
I bought a packet of beansprouts, 2 types of green vegetables and watercress. I used the watercress to make soup that evening.
Dry noodles and a packet of glutinous rice.
I haven't decided what I want to do with the glutinous rice.
The things I brought back from my trip to the wet market and mini market.
Only the 2 free range chickens were not shown in the photo.
~~~~~
Lunch
Hubby went out to buy lunch from the nearby Indian stall. Deep fried spicy chicken drumsticks, salted egg and rice. We were disappointed because there was no more curry gravy.
~~~~~
Home cooked dinner
Soup: watercress, carrot, pork ribs, red dates and wolfberries.
Steamed eggs
Ingredients: 3 types of eggs (2 chicken eggs lightly beaten, 1 salted egg, 1 century egg), water, a pinch of salt, pepper. To get the smooth silky texture, make sure not to over steam or over cook the egg. While still hot, sprinkle chopped spring onions and drizzled with garlic oil and soy sauce.
From the above image, you can see the 3 different types of eggs.
Simple home cooked dinner on a cool wet evening.
From our trip to the Gaharu Tea Valley, Gopeng in September, 2019.
With our friends from far and near.
On display was this beautiful teapot.
It was placed in the center of the room.
I don't have any information about this kettle such as its maker.
Come, kneel before the Lord our Maker, for he is our God.
We are his sheep, and he is our Shepherd.
Oh, that you would hear him calling you today and come to him!
Online Sunday Worship Service On 40th Day MCO
We had thunderstorm for the past few days. When we woke up yesterday morning, it was still drizzling since the previous night. Yesterday was the 6th Sunday that we logged on to online Sunday worship service. First thing in the morning, I went out to look for the sunrise.
Sunrise at 6:58 am.
~~~~~
From my garden.
Sea Hibiscus plant drenched with rain droplets.
This sea hibiscus is not in full bloom yet.
Sea hibiscus buds.
Sunrise at 7:18 am
Kledang Hill on the opposite side (west) at 7:35 am.
~~~~~
Breakfast
A friend gave the Chinese cruller and glutinous rice doughnut which we added to our pan fried bacon and burger for breakfast. Hubby bought black coffee from our regular coffee shop to fix our craving for coffee.
Round purple eggplants from my garden.
I cut 2 big fresh pears for our lunch.
~~~~~
Simple dinner.
I kept a big portion of the stewed chicken feet that I cooked the previous day in the fridge. I took it out, re-heated it for dinner. A dish completed with meat and veggie (Chinese cabbage).
This simple 1 dish dinner is sufficient to meet our need.

I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed,
but will have sufficient courage so that now as always
Christ will be exalted in my body,
whether by life or by death.
(Philippians 1:20, New International Version-NIV)
